CarMax uses a paint gauge with every assessment or potential purchase.

The thing I find annoying is... if you pop the rear hatch via the drivers door and then close the drivers door to walk back to open the hatch ... the hatch re-latches itself. This is due to the cabin air pressure suction change of shutting the door. Ugh.

~ I passed on a new car sitting on the showroom floor with only 25 miles. I use a paint gauge on all of my cars before buying. Most Supra panels read 5-6 mils and the rear quarter panel was reading 10 mils. Clearly a respray. After pulling back some of the trim... the tail tail signs were...
