Elephant in the room......
Regardless of specs. such as: curb weight, HP, Torque, etc. who believes Toyota will make a price shift with the Supra to ensure these don't take away sales? Maybe 3 - 5 K more wiggle room at the dealer?
If Nissan does offer a manual, will this force Toyota's hand?
Hate to hear the horror stories with the jb+. I have to think that there is something "missing" when making the connections to the sensors since multiple users are having the same problem??????
This has probably been tried and I know it is somewhat a pain but have you tried disconnecting...
Very critical step in setting this up. Used the full JB4 unit on a Stinger. One thing to check/verify are the connections to the sensors. If these are not fully seated, incorrect voltage being read by ECU from the sensor signal may throw things completely out of whack and send the ECU into a...
Hello Jeff. Don't laugh but have to ask.......
Would you happen to have a name/company that covers KY? I guess I could do some "leg work" but would be guessing on where to start.
Not so sure about that....... the jb4 can be used in conjunction to provide logging, safety inputs, etc. for other mods. Check out the link below and scan the B58/B48 threads..

I personally would not want a cell chip running my ECU.....:nono:
It takes about 10 mins to install on the Stinger (not including spark plug replacement). Major difference even on the 2.0T Stinger. Worth the $$$$$ The link below will give you ALL the jb4 info you could ever ask for. Terry @bms hangs out here as well. There is a section specific to the B58/B48...
Coming from the IT world, if this is the case, then unlocking one of these at that level, would be a pipe dream to anyone except Bosch. If a tuner were to "find" a way to unlock one of these, they would need an "insider" from Bosch with insigts to said "bootloader". Unlike the movies, you...
That could be a result of the jb4. It is calling for the turbo to make more boost than the ecu is calling for so that could be just the additional heat from the turbo. You will feel more as you put your foot in it more.
Dumb question? Then why bother with a tune at all? I run JB4 on my vehicle and no other mods mainly because I don't want any hassles with the dealer over warranty claims......and I plan on trading the car in when I jump on the Supra. If I were going the full "tune" route, would not worry about...
Been scanning if for a while since they also have sections for the Kia Stinger (what I currently drive) and this is pretty much where Burger Tuning started with the JB4. LOT of info for the Bimmer drive train so there may be answers for the Supra drivetrain questions I see on this site
Check out the bmw n54 forum. They have a section for B58/48 and jb4 is gospel over there. Lot of the issues with installs/functionality are well documented there. Most info is bmw related.

I figured that.....I thought they would be garbage for such a cheap price but after looking at the install and hearing the difference, worthwhile purchase. unless '22 fixes the issue, this will be first purchase after picking mine up.....
Dude, for the "amazing price" of $8.99, you to can stop the wind buffeting issue ........

All clear......wasn't "insulting your intelligence"......BTW, I feel the same as you with regards to doing some of my own service. HOWEVER, the fact that i did ALL of my scheduled service at the dealer, actually worked in my favor when my engine took a dump and had to be replaced(only 25K on the...
Apparently, your "tuner" has adjusted the map on the tune to cut out the "intentional" misfire/fuel dump when you let off the gas pedal.....probably done to help get a proper read from the O2 sensors to adjust for AFR/rich/lean conditions especially on the lesser grade fuels. Putting it back in...
PLEASE dont take this the wrong way but if this is an actual ?question?, then take the vehicle to a Toyota or BMW (if no close by Toyota dealer) and have them 1). check the warning and 2). change the oil anyway. If the dealer you purchased from can't provide service info then assume none was...
i Think Toyota sells the Sienna.....could probably get a good deal on that with trade-in......LOLLLLLLLLL
I can make fun at this because I had just gotten a '93 RX7 R1 and next thing i know........"where the hell did that baby seat come from??????" Really is NOT a good idea to put anything...
The Stinger 2.0 "stock" is nearly 40ft/lbs less torque than the 2.0 Supra......AND it weighs about 500 + lbs MORE than the Supra and that is the 2.0!!!!! The GT (with 3.3T) is clocking in at around 4K lbs(RWD model) but it is not as noticeable since it is making about the same torque as the 3.0...
