  1. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

@razorlab - FWIW, the first morning session of Gridlife was under muffled sound restrictions at LRP. I ran my Valvetronic exhaust with the valves closed and received no complaints. There may or may not have been some leeway given the event, but they definitely did have signs up during that...
  2. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Gridlife has some really great photographers that come out, Rob is awesome.
  3. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Guess I did get a little air time at Lime Rock.
  4. Fuel pump control electronics, internal fault error at track day

If you do ever end up having to change it out and need coding support, you can borrow my tablet with Protool.
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Yeah I'm definitely not overlooking the 3RS price 🤣 I think the Cayman GT4 is Porsche's current sweet spot in terms of price/performance. But I'm not convinced it would be meaningfully faster than a Supra and would be harder to modify.
  6. Updated with Codes - Random Issue after suspension upgrade

That's confusing, because none of those codes are chassis related to my knowledge. Only thing I could find on the active codes: 21B055/21B056 codes | SupraMKV - 2020+ Toyota Supra Forum (A90 MKV Generation)
  7. Updated with Codes - Random Issue after suspension upgrade

I would guess ride height sensor. Pull code to confirm. The first time I worked on my Supra I broke one, I did not appreciate how fragile they are.
  8. The Supra America will never get (unfortunately)

As much as I love Supras, that's approaching used GT4 RS money.
  9. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

My current C21s in the front have been on the car for 3 or 4 events, and I feel like the pad depth has barely changed. I haven't measured the depth, I should grab a set of brake pad calipers to actually chart it. Wear starts off slow and then accelerates as the pad thins, though, I presume due...
  10. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Car looks good. CMP is very tough on brakes. I have been running CSG C21/C11s and they had no issues, I've run CMP twice this year. FWIW.
  11. Full Caliper Rebuild Kit

Not really, no. Brakes are a very simple hydraulic system. The caliper is two piece but to rebuild it, you don't need to separate it. All of the seals and pistons are accessible without doing so. - Remove caliper from car - Use compressed air to blow the pistons out, place a block of wood or...
  12. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Factory engineering goes a long way, especially when it comes to chassis and suspension design. The EVO is a fantastic car (my girlfriend has an EVO X with a built, Darton wet sleeved 4B11 and a complimentary set of modifications) but unless they've radically redesigned the suspension, the GT3...
  13. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I checked the rules and they don't specifically list all cars, but there's a provision giving them leeway to bump cars up in class for a "Spirit of the rules" situation, and Track Modern specifically states that it is intended for modern supercars with minimal modifications:
  14. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I don’t know about the GT3 RS specifically, but most supercars go straight to Track Mod at Gridlife. There was a guy running a McLaren 720S for a while. In Street GT, there’s a price limit of $130,000 MSRP adjusted. When you get to Track Mod you can run real aero and I think a stock GT3 RS...
  15. Best exhaust systems in the market??

Not yet but I haven’t had to buy anything recently. I have spares for my rotors and pads already, spare hubs, spare lug studs, and a ton of oil. Next year might be painful…
  16. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

This was my overall best lap at Lime Rock. 1:00.372 Looking at the delta times I think I had a mid, possibly low 59 in the car if I managed to string it all together. I was running an older set of Yokohama A052s and this was lap 7 so they were definitely past their window, and the car drove...
  17. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Ended the weekend at Lime Rock with a 1:00.372. I was hoping to get a 59.xx and I had an optimal 59.7x but couldn’t link it all together in one lap. Given that I hadn’t been here before and my A052s had >10 heat cycles I’m not disappointed. Super fun track. It feels like driving a car on a big...
  18. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Yeah I re-used mine, but I change them out after I’ve torqued them a couple times. This particular set was relatively new.
  19. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Noticed some issues with my driver side rotor and pad wear so went ahead and rebuilt the calipers. I added the RacingBrake stainless steel pistons “while I’m in there” and also did Spiegler lines and fresh SRF. Got it all back together last night. Tested on the street just now to ensure I won’t...
  20. Best exhaust systems in the market??

That would probably be cheaper, but still wouldn't really get around tariffs if it's coming in from CN.
