Yep, I run in Street GT. I had tickets to Lime Rock the last two years but didn't make it out. 3rd times the charm. Assuming UPS gets here with my last minute brake parts that I overnighted from CA...
I had pretty optimal conditions when we ran with GL earlier this year. I struggled to get below 1:43.00 when I ran a couple months later with SCCA. The track really falls off once summer hits in the Southeast. If you had a good time, try hitting it in March-April or maybe October-November.
I really like my Valvetronic exhaust. Separate controller so I can close the valves while keeping the car in sport mode (which is nice for race tracks with sound restrictions) and it was reasonably priced.
Yeah I saw Razorlab turning 57s in the video he posted the other day, but he has quite a bit more go-fast parts than I do.
Guess we'll find out in a couple days 😅
Going to Lime Rock Park this weekend with Gridlife. What is a reasonable time there? Classic config, I know it's a relatively short lap.
Bolt ons + pump 93 tune, 275 200tw tires, no aero, stock shocks.
I have to jack my car up to rotate/change tires at least once or twice per weekend at the track so having to remove stuff to reach the jack point is a hard pass for me.
Open vs point by passing is usually a run group / experience thing. Most clubs I run with in the advanced groups are open passing. But I don’t think point by passing is inherently unsafe. You really should have the situational awareness to know who is behind you anyway.
FWIW - I bought the Auto Brake Solutions kit, with the higher temp silicon dust boots, and I could not get the dust boots to seat on the caliper no matter what I tried. Not my first time rebuilding a caliper and the smaller piston seals were just fine, but the larger seals seem to have a steel...
This is perhaps a stupid question but I need to pull my calipers off to rebuild them and I don't want get air into the brake system and have to deal with triggering the ABS pump. What's the best way of preventing this assuming the calipers may be off the car for a period of a few days? Can I...
I think you would like Roebling more in a different car. A C8Z on OEM tires is not the ideal Roebling car. I haven't driven it in my Supra yet, but in the EG hatch on 200tw it was a blast.
Post pictures.
Did you make sure that the bumper is underneath the clips at the top/front where it connects to the radiator shroud? I recently missed the left and rightmost clips and had a noticeable gap to the headlight/hood before I fixed it.
Wow that is incredibly low. Gridlife must have a no-limits day because I would say 90% of the cars won't pass that. There's a lot of factory OEM cars that won't pass that...
