Im not op but he is probably just looking for the james may insurance quote
Clarkson: "Seven THOUSAND a MONTH?!"
May: "Well I have a Ferrari, I park it on the street, and I live in a part of London that is typically on fire"
they are the same engine, same turbo, same radiator, same everything. Only difference is the software. The japanese SZ is the one that was "made to be tuned" and the SZ-R (usa 2.0 motor) is factory tuned.
This is pointless since among other things insurance varies wildly by state
but my policy has 2 cars and 2 drivers is currently 95$ month with the gecko (Ohio). Also, it just went up without a claim, maybe inflation or parts supply issues? Was paying 87$ until March.
Full coverage, 33 M and 36...
cool. the dynos we have for emachine and axle testing are power limited and the limits are getting absurdly low as the years go on. (eg.. was fine for mild hybrids or small rear drives etc)
Ive never used a dyno where you just put a whole car on lol
the cars are *exactly* the same in power output? are you sure the dyno isn't maxing out right there?
I like the beemers torque curve up until that point. I just think its very sussy they have the same max power. Is the supra getting sandbagged by the dyno?
Mine definitely is an open diff. The slush and ice at the end of my driveway last winter answered that question real quick.
Reviews and articles are not always based in reality, actually more likely they are from a different region.
Not in the usa.
In some markets there is 190 hp super basic model and 255 hp 2.0. The 190 has open diff and the 255 has mech lsd.
In the usa we get 255 hp with all of it's interior options and features and open diff. It would be a reasonable swap (if you needed an lsd with 255 hp and 275 width...
IDK, I was slower than both a SM 91 civic and tesla model 3P with coilovers and 200tw tires last weekend.
Next time I should bring my i3. It won't be as fast as the tesla but we can have two ev class cars and at least it's a real bmw ?
I heard 85/15.
I don't like the way the Z looks either particularly the front (have not seen in person, so what do I know) but if the car buying public reads enough articles in Road and Driver or Consumer Reports or most especially You Tube, that say it looks good, they will trust the news more than their own...
2.0 supra is an odd duck and I don't think anybody would cross shop it with the new Z.
You need to want the low power (but not that low?) light weight (but not that light?) nicer interior and features (but not really that nice, no back seat even)
Basically if you want a grown up 86 that...
today I was the dumbass that messed up the timing by going through the finish backwards but at least I hit the reflector box instead of the light lol
but seriously today was a blast. Had about 20 runs and got super consistent low times towards the end. four at 34.5 or faster and a 34.3 right...
huh that looks like the pressed carbon 'chipboard' they use on prius prime doors. I decided to spray the cavity wax in mine because the internal frame could rust out (there was tsb for it) and had to disassemble the interior trim to get at it lol.
OT but I wish this sort of CF trim was an option for the i3 dash, I've only ever seen the base plastic, OE oak or eucalyptus wood, and terrible vinyl wraps.
