I just did mine at 4k. Oem filter and I'm trying out AMS oil 0w-40. Crazy thing I found was no crush washer on my drain plug. Looked on the oil pan and wasn't on it. Then checked my used oil pan and not in there.
I would take it home. I know this will be a pain but video record everytime you start it. When it happens explain on video what you are doing like I'm pushing the accerator pedal or I just put it in drive or reverse. That way you have video evidence of what is happening.

Read that thread sounds like the same issue. I would most definitely take it to the dealer.
The one on my car fought me for awhile, But you have to squeeze it in the right spots. My hands are very big so I had trouble getting them in for best leverage. I wouldn't use tools to squeeze it because it will probably break.
As the saying goes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I would imagine for toyota to do something about it everyone that is experiencing the problem needs to get video evidence since it doesn't happen all the time and just keep taking your car to the dealer. It will be a huge pain in the ass...
It would be nice to see a bunch of data logs to pinpoint these exact parameters that need to be met before allowing the car to be driven at 100%. There might be several stages to it for all we know.

I did have a call out on the loud speakers at the shell gas station in Mitchell SD say "that's a nice car on pump 6" haha. Also had a random group of guys stream my car at another gas station in sparta WI.
I need to check my user manual for that for my 2020. I have never experienced this problem.
I could see toyota/bmw limiting the power and rpms if the engine was cold and not started for over 12 hours. What I don't think would be normal is if the engine was at operating temperature...
