Anyone hit 60k miles yet. I suspect I'll hit that comfortably this year. I'm current just under 55k.
Just had a service and MOT at Bracknell Toyota with no reported issues.
I'm down on the Surrey / Hants border. I've only ever seen about 5 on the road since they come out.
The first time I saw another Ice Grey Supra was when I was getting off the ferry at rosslare in Ireland in mine. It was a UK reg car going to the port.
I'm about 700 miles off 50k on mine now.
Still enjoy driving her as my daily.
I think I'll use her as my daily for 2 more years, and then get a new car. She'll then join the mkiv in the garage and get some much needed mods and some TLC.
Update from me ref servicing.
My car is close approaching 40k (38k). Tomorrow I'm off to the Republic of Ireland for a family wedding and we are going across on the ferry from Fishguard. I wanted the car serviced before we went across.
With the previous horrors of Guildford Toyota damaging my...
No, all factory still. I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll start fettling with the car. I've fitted a Carbon Factory spoiler (with 3M tape) and that is it so far.
I think it's been experienced across the various build platforms. I recall reading on here somewhere that its caused by a known gremlin in the fuel ecu / traction control system and has been patched by BMW on the Z4, but not by Toyota.
Still racking the mileage up in mine.
In terms of issues I have, or have had, the following:
- Throttle hesitation. Still happens and is a real thing.
- I've had my front badge replaced under warranty as the paint peeled.
- I get panel vibration from the sound system on the off side behind the...
Dealer network service history, on resale, will always be better. Assuming you can find one that actually knows what they are doing and doesn't damage your car whilst it's in their care.
I'll probably use SRD Tuning. I have a Mkiv Supra and have used them for this. The owner Lee also has a mkiv and mkv Supra himself.
I've totally lost confidence in Toyota UK.
Here is the damage Guildford Toyota caused the first time round. They did this by driving it into their own...
Do not use Toyota Guildford. The first time I had my car serviced they damaged my car and lied about it. I caught them out with the dash cam footage from my car. It also recorded their technicians who didn't have a clue what they were doing with the car.
They offered to repair the car, which...
I was speaking to a BMW dealer here in the UK in May 2022 and they told me that later in 2022 BMW were dropping the HUD on all models, others than the M models.
No idea if this has happened, if it's a UK or Euro thing only, or if it would apply to the Supra.
But it sounds suitably...
Prices and finance deals on the Supra have changed quite a bit in the year I've had mine. I'm on 0% finance deal and paid just over £50K for it.
I see the RRP is around £59K now - wow, but what prices are people getting them for?
I get this too and it can be very embarrassing in town. It is often mistaken for me using the horn.
It is more prevelant when the car is cold and at the start of a trip, but certainly not limited to this.
Sounds like the horn from Noddy's car, a little cheeky toot! I try my best to creep...
