I think you compare its performance to the 718 S. The base 718 would be a slight downgrade. The S would be comparable. The GTS would be a small upgrade. The GT4 would be a moderate to large upgrade. Looks wise/interior…. I mean it’s porsche lol. Though it’s looking dated these days.
It’s an ongoing forum joke about broken promises spanning 2 weeks at a time. Rarely does anyone present results prior to promising results over the course of like 3 months.
I don’t think cutting the metal will help in that case. The person who wrote up that article is actually a (retired?) sound engineer. If there was more to be gained, I imagine he would have told us.

To clarify, do you mean cut the metal to open it up? Or the overlying plastic/carpet cover towards the rear?
