What makes you say no? M4's and M3's, which have same torsional rigidity, are hooking up with 1000whp and drag radials.
One caveat might be the super short wheelbase (like 14 inches shorter than M's lol), but we will see what actually happens...
Looks even better than in the Mexico-leak, but looks like it was taken with a run of the mill DSLR and a 70-200 since the whole shot looks FLAT. this car needs a proper photo shoot with Ziess gear to give the its muscler shape what it deserves.
AFAIK, tires should be tucked in for better aerodynamics. Flush or even worse poke (which is actually my favorite style lol) really adds quite a bit of drag. (Notice the front bumper extensions on the c7 z06)
Furthermore, some racing bodies (e.g. gridlife) actually require the top of the tire...
It's not a BMW design. It's a Toyota design. Internet is sh1t, supra is a z4 just like how an ATS is a Camaro ....
BRZ is a 2+2 seater, where driver does not sit on the rear axle (inferior weight distribution and polar moment of inertia). These are a better comparisons; notice where the driver...
actually, we do know that its the 8HP50 from RealOEM, so the torque capacity is around 500NM, unless there is a special treatment to the Supra unit (it does say 8HP51 tbh)
i actually went and googled the MKiV's curb weight after reading that part (MKIV heaviest variant is 1570kg)... but then:
"Combined with a total weight of less than 1.5 tonnes (the modified VLN VLR Supra had 1.4 tonnes) and a perfect weight distribution of 50:50 on the front and rear axles...
not sure if serious ...?
its running full slicks, those are designed for at least -3degs of camber, otherwise you will wear the outside unevenly, regardless of the suspension type. heck even F1 cars run -3.5deg's.
without diving into kinematics; not all MacPherson struts are equal, same goes...
probably, i bet Papadakis Racing is already building it, but...
wouldn't want the A90 to follow this path:
yup..i just did that ...in jest! (wears the anti-forum-flaming fire proximity suit)
kidding aside, i hope to see proper handling mods and not just drag/dyno--pissing-contests mods...
i think the Mediterranean Blue Metallic would look best with a gunmetal or bronze wheels.
but i wish was a bit brighter like the Porsche 911 Sapphire Blue Metallic which is perfect!
interesting stuff :
transmission part number is GA8HP51Z (ZF 8HP50 Gen 2) with a big@$$ cooler!
Could find only 2 chassis braces, bulkhead triangulated bar and the center bridge. the "more-than-LFA" rigidity seems to be designed into the BIW (e.g. the triangulation in the front fender area)...
i think he was talking about 2 different things. MT and RHD. there is a PERIOD between both sentences
":....there is hardware ready. Right-hand drive? Yes, of course."
especially since this is an Aussie magazine
The Table above is DIN curb weights.
The German site is quoting EEC curb weight, which is DIN + 68kg driver + 7 kg luggage to be exact, albeit with a 90% fuel tank (remainder 10% is like 2 gallons or ~12.5lbs)
here are the details...
