for drifting, even with the good old handbrake, drifters fitted a hydraulic ebrake , more often with its own master cylinder, lines, and calipers at the rear axle. it's not hard to do (thanks to Rhys Millen for "inventing" this :p). my point, it doesn't matter much if it has a manual handbrake...
