Did you love tap it with the sto n sho?? I'd imagine having that happen is still pretty bad due to the pressure / torque put on the splitter from the bolt. Although still way better than scraping up / cracking the splitter itself.
I often find myself stopping hilarious far from the parking...

PLEASE NOTE: this is for the TOP HALF ONLY! I cracked the bottom half of my original one while installing (long story) and had to order another set. As such, I have an extra top half.
Product was ordered directly from rexpeed...
Landing solidly into the popular 30-39 bucket myself, at 37 years old.
Wasn't really into cars for the first 2/3rds of my life really: drove very solid but boring Honda Accords through high school, college and first couple years after. During my first job out of college (software engineer) I...
I also went with Stek, pretty happy and looks really good. Full front plus mirrors and a bit on doors was maybe $1700 from a local shop with a good reputation.
Switched from old tow hook mount to sto n' sho mount. I like the centered look a lot better, and has quick release so easy to put on and off. Might just keep the plate detached in the back, and only put it on when doing longer drives with more freeway.
My only concern is if I accidently touch...
Oh those look really good, I've been trying to find a brand who makes these that are actually sculpted to fit flush with the mirror arm AND matched the gloss black.
Just ordered myself some!
I absolutely love the look of the MX-5 RF which is basically a targa top. I think the Miata has its niche and executes well in that niche: a tiny, nimble convertible roadster. It's totally a fun car as long as raw power isn't a priority for you.
Comparing to the Supra feels really apples to...
Could maybe just use a tiny bit of super glue to glue it down? In the extremely unlikely case you actually had to use it, should be trivial to break it free without much effort.
I haven't noticed any issues - I don't think that location blocks anything.
That said, I purchased a sto n' sho which mounts low center middle instead. Haven't attached it yet, but saw it on another Supra recently and liked the look better. https://stonsho.com/2020-2021-toyota-supra-sns207/
Also, anyone who says they are going to cover it without insurance involved - they most likely aren't once they see the bill. People are dumb and assume fixing will cost like $150. It will cost 10x that on a new car like this. And by the time they back out, you'll have wasted a lot of time and...
This might be a bit late, but gonna post it here anyways since I feel like a got a good outcome in a similar situation. Was still a huge headache tho. Figure people might find this useful.
Hopefully you took lots of pictures, including the other person's car if there is any damage on it, and...
The oil measuring system in the Supra (and other BMWs) is pretty much the textbook example of over-engineering something. They took a bulletproof, easy to use and time proven component and made it failure prone and difficult to use instead.
I've heard Carvana is not yet profitable, they are operating at a loss. I assume their goal is to gain market share, taking business away from used car dealerships and build volume/customer base, and then at some point tweak their formula (buy/sell prices) to start making profits.
I would take it back to the dealer and tell them you want the oil check functionality fixed under warranty. If they won't fix it, try a different dealership I guess, but that just seems like bullshit that they are ignoring what is obviously defective software or hardware with the car. It isn't...
As someone who sold my old car to Carvana - I can tell you it definitely had some pretty bad chips in the paint. No idea if they fixed them before reselling it.
They did not care one bit about the chips (or a very small tear in the upholstery)
You can pretty much mount it where I did (overlapping the emergency button a bit) and it won't block any airflow, unless for some reason you have the vents turned to blow directly straight between both seats. As long as the vents are angled towards each seat, the middle area is fine. Only...
I honestly would have been perfectly fine with the existing 370Z body, with a better interior (less squeaks/rattles pls) and a modern technology package, maybe replace the slightly derpy headlights and make a few other minor tweaks. Along with whatever engine and transmission they are putting in...
