Back in the day, Fullerton was mostly a low to average middle class city. I'm sure it has changed a lot since the 70's/80's. Also, the Cerritos Auto Square had a gazillion advertisements as being the "go-to" auto mall for all makes and models. I was just bust'n your cajones...meant no offence.
For ease of service, a drop-in is probably not a bad idea. Otherwise, no real performance gains, as others have said. I'll probably go with a Green filter, when the time comes.
Coming from a guy who's from Fullerton and probably bought his Supra at Cerritos Auto Square, are you surprised? Kidding aside, congrats to the OP on the new ride.
The kid at COSTCO that I mentioned previously must have had a catless downpipe and a tune that was designed for extra popping...it was ridiculously loud and obnoxious. It would pop and crackle even when he crept up in line. I don't mind the stock noise, but I do prefer my rice krispies in a bowl.
I must be getting old, for I'm really not into the rice krispies effect. This kid at COSTCO kept revving his obviously tuned Supra, to get my attention, while we waited in line for gas. I couldn't help but laugh, but to each his own.
I test drove a Stinger and while it was quick, the suspension was soft (even in sport mode) and it needed a little more horsepower. I really like the design...it's a looker and has great cargo space. Have you guys seen the Stinger Scorpion? They really missed the mark on that one, IMHO. That...
Thanks. Do you still have full volume or is it reduced? I have almost no sound coming out of the subwoofers (or any of the other speakers) when the fade is set all the way to the rear.
I'm still trying to figure out issues with my subwoofer. Can someone tell me if you have sound when fading everything to the rear? I get almost no volume with the fade set to the max rear...just wondering if that's normal, or if I have an issue with the HU or amp.
Yes, it's definitely the driver's side woofer connection. The woofer works much harder (cone/spider moves up and down much more) than the passenger side, even when the speakers are swapped. I don't think reversed polarity would cause this. It's acting like it's getting a bogus signal, or as if...
It's not the enclosure or mounting. I checked all of the gaskets and everything was sealed tight. The cone moves much more on the drivers side woofer than the passenger's...even when swapped. The other thing I noticed is when I fade to the rear and then to the left, you can tell that something...
Premium 3.0
Only started to lose oil after track date at 4K miles...just before track day - full level, after getting home from track day - half way mark.
1/21 Build
Still on factory fill.
Hey guys, I have an issue with the driver's side subwoofer. It vibrates more than it should, sounding distorted. I swapped it with the passenger's side and the same thing occurs, so it's not the speaker. What could it be? Could it be the amp? Bad wiring?
My oil level has stayed at the full mark through 4000 miles of driving...up until I had a track day. It dropped down to the half-way point and has been there for the past 500 miles. I think that in my case, oil consumption coincides with how hard I push the car. Build date is 1/21. By the way...
Prior to around 1000 miles, my breaks were very "grabby" and inconsistent. In addition, a couple of the rotors had an uneven area of pad material deposited on them. Eventually they bedded in properly (threw in a few aggressive stops which helped speed up the process) and the pad deposits were gone.
