You may want to use some transfer tape. This is what I used, in order to keep the pads from cluncking around:

Regarding the DP and exhaust system, you'd want to make sure all of the fasteners are of the same type of material to avoid galvanic corrosion. If you live where the roads are salted during the winter months, or near the beach, you would want to avoid a situation where carbon steel or aluminum...

Glad you figured it out, but the endlinks would've been the first things I would have checked, for they are a weak spot in the suspension and are designed that way, to protect the other components from failure. It is especially important to check them from time to time, if you have upgraded...
