An Xpel rep that is the supplier to over 15 states told me directly that Xpel’s adhesive is stronger than Suntek’s (and that Xpel Stealth’s adhesive is stronger than Suntek Matte’s); he mentioned that Xpel can come out looking great but you need a “good” shop to make it look right. The shop I’m...
There is generally an extra cost associated with matte PPF because it's a much trickier material to produce and, even though it costs more, the profit margins for the PPF makers are actually lower on matte materials. In terms of pricing, I was quoted $6,000 for the entire car with Xpel Stealth...
Yeah, his video of him buying the car and driving back from Vermont was pretty funny - he clearly didn't know anything about the car. He's a businessman who has a business model that's worked with certain cars. I can see why someone would pay a few hundred dollars to rent a $150,000 car for a...
For those of you who are interested, I haven't seen any models that are available for purchase yet other than the Tomika one. Below is a rundown of the upcoming models and who's announced that they're going to be producing them (along with sources in parenthesis in case you want to take a look)...
Meanwhile:
This guy was trying to charge $349 a day - almost the same amount as a monthly lease payment for this thing - to rent an affordable sports car that is targeted at people who like to tune / mod their car. And he wonders why nobody is willing to pay that much to rent it... Some of...
Ah... I guess I saw North York and somehow read it as New York. Either way, that camera work was really nicely done! I think I'm going to have a couple of the 2 channel Blackvues installed (like this) and refer whatever shop I end up using for that to the video of your car and ask them to route...
Yeah, I feel like a lot of its "curviness" gets hidden with the glossy paint (especially for darker colors like black), so I'm hoping that the matte will help make it "pop" more. I'm surprised how much of a difference it even makes on the white. I'm excited to see what your call will look like...
Would putting a plate in the middle portion of the grill not block off air inflow into the MKV, though? I feel like that would look the best, but I thought that was one of the only working vents on it unless you start opening up some of the blocked-off vents.
I guess you can see it when you're right up on it, but from the zoomed out picture I wasn't able to notice it at all. Some of my friends were saying that they like the glossy look more but I definitely am a fan of the matte.
In terms of pricing, I'm having this done (on a nocturnal black Supra)...
Man this is going to make some people really salty that the MKV is getting some time on the big screen... and in the same movie series and even color of car as TF&TF.
Looking very nice! I can’t wait to see the finished product. Once the hood is all done and the ceramic coating has been applied would you mind posting close-ups of the seam on the hood? I’m interested to see if it’ll even be noticeable on the white.
I was able to walk into a dealership and place an order for a phantom grey no issues... although he did mention that allocations were dealer specific. I was told it would arrive sometime later this year.
I actually don't know - I don't think I've seen anything about that metric yet. All I've seen are clickbaity article titles like this one (2020 C8 Corvette: 0-60 in under 3 seconds, starts below $60,000) that, at a first glance, would make you think that you're getting 0-60 in under 3 seconds...
Those were definitely some of the key considerations for me too, but one of the biggest things for me was a very subjective factor: looks. I just love the way the A90 looks. Do I wish it had a little more FT-1 and a few less fake vents (especially the door ones)? Absolutely. But I still think...
Nobody’s telling you that you aren’t free to voice your opinion - it’s actually nice to have folks with different opinions on here. And I didn't state that those arguments are yours - you just said "You honestly thought people didnt know once you start adding options to the c8 it wouldn't be...
