I would normally feel bad for doing this, but the dealership keeps texting me about the car even though I told them I wasn’t interested and already picked up an LE elsewhere, so I decided to troll a little bit, if anyone’s interested in a red LE in Manhattan for $75,000, it’s yours!
(I’ve...
I’m excited to see this - given that I don’t have enough time to restore one of these myself I’ll probably never own one, but I would totally be one of the folks that would want to take a picture of it if I saw it in the wild. The closest I would probably ever get to owning one is an FJ Cruiser. :(
This is wild speculation, but if you’re not used to the lane assist safety feature, it can really be quite dangerous if left on. I could see someone picking up this car and then trying to race down a street, zipping in and out of the surrounding cars, and then getting caught off guard when they...
So this technically isn't a DIY guide (yet), but I'm hoping that responses in this thread will serve as a guide to others who are looking to do the same thing to their cars. I'm basically trying to find a way to run a way to run a wire to the rear Blackvue camera in my car, but as far as I can...
I personally find TJ Hunt a little more annoying... but yeah. I think that to become a "YouTube" star you (generally) have to have a "special" type of personality.
From what I’ve heard on here and elsewhere, the target annual sales numbers were supposedly around 12k globally, 4k in the US per year. Not sure about actual production numbers, though.
To be honest, the additional wings all look bad on this car, so even if one is the “best” it’s still the “best” ugly wing (in my opinion, obviously). It looks like TRD themselves may be releasing one (in addition to the subdued version they’ve already released, which I prefer). There’s also...
Yeah this isn’t a Supra-specific issue - it’s any HUD in any car. Polarized sunglasses unfortunately make the HUD almost impossible to see even if the brightness is cranked all the way up.
One thing that the owner’s manual also points out and that is somewhat annoying is that polarized sunglasses will basically make the HUD invisible (not completely if the brightness is turned up highly enough, but even then it’s very faint). I think it’s that the HUD is basically a reflection of...
Yeah lol... this looks like something that I would’ve made in PowerPoint back in high school in the late 1990s / early 2000s. Not something that a multi-billion dollar corporation would be putting out in 2019. But then again, it’s Japan and they’re notoriously bad at advertising movies, cars, etc.
Haha I kind of set myself up for it by posting this from my Instagram (which is really just an Instagram account run by my SO and I for our cats).
Not a dealership, but GR Garage. I’ve shared more info about the sourcing of the parts in the TRD parts thread in case anyone is interested...
I guess I’ll wait to see the finished product, but from the brief images shown in the pictures, I’m not digging it... I feel like they could’ve done something much better looking with the hood.
Apliiqq’s is wrapped (this thread). RRKnight’s (white) and mine (black) are wrapped it with matte Xpel Stealth:

Other folks on YouTube and here have done vinyl wraps...
That’s pretty shitty / shady that they’re now pretending that they never tried marking the car up and that they’re one of the “good ones.” It’d be great to know which dealerships were actually never trying to add a markup so that folks can reward those dealerships with their business.
