I haven't taken them on a long trip yet, but i went on a 20 minute drive of various speeds (up to about 65). I stopped many times to check the adhesion, and they didn't budge. I did some moderate cornering on a cloverleaf and some moderately aggressive braking, no signs of movement. I left them...
I can't speak to the harbor freight bleeder, but I did it this afternoon with a motive. I did not touch the clutch at all. I did have to turn the bleeder a lot more than I expected before fluid started coming out.
Yeah, it's a 45th wing. No idea how much downforce it produces, can't find that info anywhere. Not a lot, I imagine. It is adjustable, and I have it in the track setting. Hopefully it does....something :)
Thanks! I'll provide an update on how it holds up over a long drive. Hopefully there will be nothing of substance to report :) I'll be at VIR 11/22-24, I guess I'll just miss you.
I'm thinking about doing this, but wanted to get the bleed right. I've bleed brakes plenty times, and I have a motive bleeder. The main thing I wanted to confirm is that the reservoir is shared with the brakes. So just hook my motive up as if I was bleeding the brakes and turn the bleed screw...
Did some test fitting and driving of my tire transport solution in advance of a trip to VIR. So far so good.... 4th wheel will go in the passenger seat.
Ok, I double checked and figured out how I got there. When on the page that shows the battery info, scroll up and click in/select the heading '?(Detailed info)' and then it will give you the other options.
For whatever reason, you have to back out from that screen (battery percentages) to select the other menus. It's almost like its a hidden in-between menu.
I used bimmercode to set ENTWICKLER_MENUE in the headunit and changed it to Aktiv. I then installed and setup AAIdrive on my phone. There is a thread about it here: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/android-peasants-aaidrive-project-might-interest-you.23384/
Gives you a new 'detailed vehicle...
Anyone have any idea how to get this info into something like track addict/race render or racechrono? I'd be especially interested in having the braking info, rather than it being extrapolated from gps. I don't think I can get it from Bluetooth/obd, right?
I would get the square setup. In fact I did, my limited mods are similar to yours. DTC60/30, SRF Fluid, Apex 18s to run 275 square. Considering camber plates next. Waiting to see how much life I get out of my tires as-is; if it's good enough I'll leave it stock so I don't get moved up a class...
