  1. Auto Trunk Support Lifts

The trunk definitely requires a noticeable amount of extra force to close (to be expected, there is more force lifting the trunk). I wouldn't use one hand on the plastic pull down spot, but it's still very closable with 1 hand, and you can use 2 hands if you want to use the plastic pull down...
  2. Auto Trunk Support Lifts

Just wanted to add: I just installed these: https://www.liftsupportsdepot.com/18-31-lift-supports-depot-pm3667ez10-lift-support-with-10mm-ez-release-ball-sockets-pm3667ez10-w/ They work great with the Streethunter Wing. Doesn't auto-lift from the button push, but once you lift it past a...
  3. Just picked up my new Supra

They have a special recall page: https://www.toyota.com/recall Also, if you create an account on here: https://www.toyota.com/owners It will walk you through registering your vehicle and will tell you if there are any known recalls with your car.
  4. Just picked up my new Supra

Have you checked the VIN to see if there is a recall on the car? If so, I would suggest getting the recall done before doing anything to the car electronically, to include 1 for 1 swaps. Otherwise, congrats and enjoy the car!
  5. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

I'll preface this with I'm not a Supra tech, and only one of them could accurately tell you if your particular mod setup creates increased risk for the update. From the conversation I had with the Supra tech at my local dealer, it basically comes down to this: If it plugs into the system's...
  6. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

Get the recall done people, sheesh. You probably have a higher chance of breaking your braking system without the recall than you do breaking an electronics part by getting one. That alone should be enough reason to get the recall done. Just make sure you convey to your dealer what mods you...
  7. What did you do to your Supra today?

New Armaspeed paddle shifters installed. Need to wait for them to charge up to glow.
  8. Bavsound Stage 1 Amp Suggestions

Everyone's ears are different. I didn't like the OEM sound, but I do like the way the Bavsound subs sound. The sound they produce is nearly identical to the sound my Bose QC35 noise cancelling headphones produce, if that's not the sound profile you're after, then I'd go with something else...
  9. HGK vs Seibon Carbon Fiber Rear Hatch

Well I reached out to HGK to see what the total cost will be so I should have a delivery quote soon. $4K+ for a CF hatch is just ridiculous. I think they were going for around $2K a year ago...which is much more in line with what I'd expect them to cost.
  10. HGK vs Seibon Carbon Fiber Rear Hatch

I'm finding it hard to understand why the Seibon version costs so much comparatively. Does anyone happen to know if the HGK carbon fiber rear hatch is the same dimensions as the Seibon version? Is there something I'm missing here? HGK link...
  11. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

One thing I am impressed with from the Z is how close the lap time is between the manual and automatic. I'm looking forward to seeing how the manual Supra holds up to the auto on track times.
  12. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

One thing I am impressed with from the Z is how close the lap time is between the manual and automatic. I'm looking forward to seeing how the manual Supra holds up to the auto on track times.
  13. Nissan Z vs Toyota Supra

https://www.nissanzclub.com/forum/threads/nissan-z-icons-hagerty-review-nissan-z-vs-supra-ft-wrx-miata-volester-n-and-f-pace-svr.1248/ 10:50 mark says it all.
  14. Supra visibility

I always feel really weird when I hop into a "normal" car or SUV with crazy visibility. Recently rented a 2020 Nissan Rogue and it felt like I was in a glass bubble I had so much visibility. Hoping back into the Supra after a week of that...took a bit to get used to Supra again.
  15. Formula 1 Talk

Happy to see Max and, Red Bull in general, looking good. He deserves to win the championship this year. I really want to see a close battle between Ferrari and Red Bull. I'm happy with either team taking the gold, so every race has been enjoyable for me.
  16. Bavsound Stage 1 Amp Suggestions

Only replaced the subs. I'm happy with the sound, but I may experiment with some of those recommendations further down the road. The subs sound good to my untrained ear. I set the bass to +3 and kept everything else at 0. The sound is very similar to my Bose QC35 headphones, meaning what I...
  17. hello all

Looks like we got ourselves a Terry up in here: In all seriousness, welcome to the forums!
  18. exhaust valve wont open with jb4

From what I've read, I believe you have to tell it to open/close the exhaust valve. Thread below: https://www.supramkv.com/threads/exhaust-flap-closes-jb4.6933/ Not sure if that's what is going on, but that's all I could find for you. It's issues like this that make me glad I went with the...
  19. Rattle in Trunk Brace

It is entirely possible that it's just loose. I had to remove the trim pieces around mine to install some new subwoofers. This video will show you how to get at the crossbar (I found it more helpful than the Bavsound speaker install video): Skip ahead to the 7:15 mark.
  20. Best overall air intake upgrade?

I'm kind of partial to the MST intake. I was going to grab one, but then I saw the Remnant Performance turbo kit which includes an intake that's modeled after the MST intake. Now I'm just waiting for that whole thing to come out in 6-port variety.
