I definitely will. I think I'm going to re-do the flushes, I'm almost wondering if I got too much concentrate and not enough distilled water in my mix. Probably throw in some water wetter.
So you are stock heat exchangers with a Wagner intake mani and a hood vent, and that's pretty much it...
I have changed after every track day only because I’ve been over 300°F every track day and don’t know how the car handles it. Car is new to me so, 4 track days total, first day I didn’t have any vehicle logs.
I’ve been sending analysis off to Blackstone as well, and have one back, one still...
Hmm. That's a shame because it is incredibly inexpensive locally. I'll take that into consideration and see. Thanks for the info.
EDIT: Looks like Castrol EDGE euro 5w-40 is also incredibly inexpensive and meets LL01 standards. Also KV100 14.10 and HTHS 3.70, so slightly better than the Mobil 1...
So how do we feel about good ol' Mobil 1 FS 5w-40 Euro? KV100 of 13.60 and HTHS of 3.70. That seems pretty decent, doesn't it? I track the car, pretty much all I do with it.
CSF isn't better than stock? Can you elaborate? I had great success with them on my GTI with a 600whp setup.
Following the oil cooler shenanigans; my car desperately needs one. I hit 300*F+ every single session last weekend, including one in 75F weather. Didn't take many laps around 1:25 each...
Another question for you. Mine pulls power from OBDII. This also means it stays on 24/7 unless I unplug from OBDII. Do you also have this “issue”?
I used it at my first track day this weekend. The GPS wasn’t near as accurate as I expected for mounting the antenna on the roof:
I had several...
Lol exactly, after you told me that I went back in and sure enough, I had tried all but the right cable (the one in the twisted pair)
In my defense, the other two were more exposed, but yeah, didn’t realize they were a twisted pair. Thanks a ton for this write up and the replies.
Thanks! I’ll try that out today.
In your original post, you have the OBDII and CAN merged into one connection on CAN1/Power. What do you have hooked up to the other connection on the device, that big blue cable on CAN1/CAN2? If you weren’t using whatever that blue cable is, could you plug the...
Good evening, good sir!
My device is wired into CAN and OBDII with the splitter cable you linked so that it goes into one slot on the device:
I’m currently not getting any data with the car running, even the OBDII data. The only setting I didn’t see mentioned was this:
What do you have...
Just wanted to say thanks for this excellent write up. I just finished tapping into CAN only to realize IATs aren't recorded, which is something I very much want. I will just log via OBDII and BimmerLink for now until I muster the motivation to get this setup. Just awesome stuff. Thank you
