Thank you for the info! I was about to do the website download and gave the iPhone app one more shot this morning. The iPhone app worked now but it’s great to know the other method.
My ecutek iPhone app was working just fine, but today it said there is a firmware update required for the car. I clicked yes to update and then it said “car is already up to date”. It then starts trying to load my menu and immediately circles back and prompts me with the same firmware update...
Sorry dude! I got super concerned about mine cause it took them ALL day, then they said they had issues and needed to keep it over night. Luckily they got it done and I was all set the 2nd day, but I was super worried.
Just came home with mine after the recall fix. Took longer than expected due to some issues with the update and they had to keep it overnight, but so far so good. I'll report back if any issues arise.
Ahh okay. Originally it was S18T-19-3-560, and now its S18T-20-3-524.
Since it's not showing 21-7 for the year and month (when I brought it in for service), is it safe to assume it wasn't updated?
Awesome! I just pulled it and my version number was 560 (on delivery back in 2019) and now its 524. I'm searching the forums for info on the 524 version and if its locked, but not seeing anything yet.
Is there a way to see what firmware (or CAL ID) my 2020 supra has using OBDlink/Bimmercode?
My car went in for oil in July and im wondering if it got the update and lock.
Tried all month to get a deal on a 2021 in SoCal and it didn’t happen. Said screw it and went with a Carvana 2020 premium for 50.9k. Even gave dealers a second opportunity to lower their prices and I would cancel my Carvana order. I even offered to pay a little more just for convenience to pick...
I think it’s safe to say it’s not gonna be like it was for a while.
IMO if you can get ~53k in SoCal right now that's as good as it'll get. Could probably hit 51-52k if a dealer really wants to move one at month end/memorial day.
With current pricing/incentives and inventory issues, that looks like the one of the best prices to me.
I assume with your travel and other expenses you'll spend a total of 55.5-56ish?
If anyone is deciding to go with a 2020 Premium, don’t use the filters for “3.0 premium” on the used car websites. I noticed a lot of mislabeling as a regular 3.0, but when I run the VIN on Toyota’s vin search it’s actually a premium.
Might open up your options. Good luck!
