Salt acts quickly enough to cause issues for the first owner. Hours for untreated metal and days for metals treated with even the best rust inhibitors.
Especially in the volumes they use anywhere it snows a lot. The roads where I live are covered in so much salt that you can't see the...
Toyota will bring those updates over to the GR Corolla. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make further improvements to the GRC that the GR Yaris won't see until next generation.
I know "it's not the same" but it's close enough. If the USA received the GRY, it wouldn't sell.
I disagree. I think the CDV helps with launching as it provides a nice consistent slip, so all I need to worry about is "dumping" the clutch, not modulating it.
I pulled a 1.83s 60ft time in a stock (to the tires) A91MT. Which, IMHO is a pretty good time for a RWD manual car on PSS.
That...
The choice for PSS was pennywise, pound foolish. Because of that tire choice, the car is substantially slower than it could be in comparison tests, like Lightning Lap. And that has become the benchmark that production cars are held to.
So the Supra looks like it only offers Camaro SS 1LE...
The Z is like the Mustang. It's old and crappy, but it has a solid aftermarket. And a good aftermarket means that you can hand-wave away any issues the car has by saying, "you can fix that in the aftermarket."
Like how Savagegeese went on about how you can fix the Z's crappy suspension with...
You actually weren't far off with your original 20 years statement. They went on the market in 2011, but the tire they are derived from was developed for the Ferrari 599 which came out almost 20 years ago -- and was a test-bed for a bunch of new tech.
I remember seeing new CRs for sale on dealer lots well into 2010.
Given the state of the industry during the GFC, I'm not surprised Honda killed the S2k. Frankly, I'm surprised that any sporty cars managed to survive development during that time. Camaro launched in 2009 for a 2010 model year...
This is r/cars in a nutshell. According to them, all the potential Supra buyers picked up Miatas instead.
I got an assload of down votes for pointing out that just maybe Supra sales are down because of inventory, not demand, pointing out that I had to put a bunch of legwork into getting a '23...
It's the tires. Ford won't let the Dark Horse be tested on different tires. Probably because they know that so much of the performance of the car is tied to tire selection.
I don't think anyone really cares about anniversary models. With most manufactures, they just throw some badges/stickers on the car and charge too much money for it. And this is the route Toyota went with the Supra.
The only benefit to the AE is the color. But, like you said, you have...
Car & Driver's 1993 Turbo was $42,000. That's ~$90k in today dollars if you trust CPI inflation figures.
A Corvette was upper 30s for a coupe, low 40s for a 'vert.

I can't find prices on later cars, but...
The transmission is rated for 500Nm, or 369lb-ft of torque (actually, the auto is also rated for 500Nm/369lb-ft). Which is what the engine is already rated for from the factory -- and as we know, dynos have shown this engine makes much more torque than that to the wheels.
It's hard to predict the future value of cars.
The 2020 Supra wasn't that attractive to buyers because it only had 335hp, an automatic, controversial styling, and was criticized for being a BMW and really expensive. The expensive point in particular hit these hard, because GM pinky...
There used to be this old joke, "what's a 600hp Supra, a 800hp Supra, and a 1000hp Supra have in common? Quarter mile times."
From the videos I've seen, a stock Mk5 will beat a well modified Mk4 in a drag race up until like 70-80. Hell, I was watching a Tavarish video where they featured...
