Which says a lot about the upper potential of the V8.
At bare minimum Toyota seems to want to use some inline six for the Supra MKVI and the next conventional Lexus coupe (which will share the same base chassis architecture in different wheelbases with different focuses).
But if they would be...
Something else I took notice of in the Japanese reviewer's video above is that he states the bore and stroke of the 4.0L V8 twin turbo is the same as the bore and stroke found in the upcoming G20E 2.0L turbo engine that will power the GR Corolla, GR MR2 and other cars.
This is just my own...

And the GT3 version deletes the hybrid system and battery pack altogether presumably to allow for a higher powered (and undoubtedly with higher boost pressure) and much more aggressive race tune of the V8.

Underwhelming is the last thing that comes to my mind when seeing the pictures of it and reading about how they went about designing it. To each their own.

Almost 3,900lbs curb weight isn't nearly as good as I expected but it's not terrible considering that probably includes the hybrid battery pack's weight. I did expect far better than that for a supercar with extensive use of aluminum. I guess they decided against a lot of carbon fiber for this...

Not ugly at all to my eyes. I quite like the final look of the GT and GT3. I love the super long hood that is rather flat. The rear view looks great too. But I'm a fan of Japanese performance models that take a more conservative and brutish approach to their styling.

It was only a matter of time. And while it's not anyone from Toyota saying it there's only mention of a "new age MR2" in the article... but zero mention of the Celica name when they talk about it. I still hope Toyota just calls it "MR2" and has a totally separate chassis planned for the new...
All it took was one drive in a Tesla Model 3 RWD for me to get bored with it. I already hated how it looked on the outside and inside but I was willing to see how a friend's car felt. It was interesting at first... but it wasn't fun. And the style I drove it in quickly made the battery charge...
It would not surprise me if they did!
However I find it interesting that despite also catching the very last ending screen (1980's monochrome green text over black) as you did they seem to have completely ignored the more modern white screen with very hard to miss all caps bold text drawing...
Yes! The GR GT3 is definitely a given. I guess I separated it a bit in my mind because it's such an enormous price jump from the current more-attainable-for-most GR models. The MR2 concept under the cover in an earlier episode is a plus all the mid engine prototype and test mule talk gives...
Good catches!
They certainly want us to know they are planning engine offerings that we would strongly associate with the 1JZ-GTE I-6, 2JZ-GTE I-6 and 3S-GTE I-4 (to be succeeded by the G20E turbo).
My guess is the MR2 successor ("Celica" ?) will be the fourth GR model that the final screen...
I remember the rumors and that article. There was another that did some attempted dimensional comparisons with the ND Miata and what was available on the S-FR concept. They did line up pretty closely as I recall.
At the time the S-FR was supposed to be (amazingly for its size) a RWD 2+2 like...
