I had a stupid thought. What if they put the running hardware into the A80 (engine/trans/everything else) to disguise it for some reason?
Sorry, haven't managed to sleep well, and brain is going odd places.
Still no updates from Scott Clark. They haven't gotten any info, atleast they haven't told my salseman anything. Apparently one of the girls at the dealership told him to "just get the guy into an 86." Lol
That's why I said "I think". It could be similar to the gentleman's agreement that Toyota, Nissan, and Mitsubishi had back in the...80s? Cars were to be limited to 280hp. Almost every company had more iirc.
Guff and I were talking earlier, and I really thibk that this car is being rated low. Possibly to make BMW feel better. We won't know for certain until we can get one on a dyno, though
Thats why I was thinking it has more power. I mean, I suppose the gearing could be just right for it to go that quick, but I really doubt that's all there is to it.
Seems that way. Toyota may be using some of the money they saved by designing the car with BMW. Or, they're trying to get people's attentions with flashy graphics. The ads do stand out a bit
Cool. I plan on taking it to my local shop and tossing her on a dyno first day I get her. Attempting to organize a dyno day, though since we don't know actual release date, it's gonna be tough to put together.
