I really think that this B58 is going to be the new...well....2JZ, in all honesty. With the technology we have now, compared to what, 25 years ago? I think that with the same mods, it will make more power. But we'll have to see. We won't know for another year or so, though
I figured Toyota wanted to use the I6 as opposed to a V6, so it would be more like it used to be with the 2JZ.
Sorry for awkward wording, been awake too long and can't word good
I'm hoping to let JR take a crack at the ECU. He's the Prime Motoring tuner (first STi in the 10s, and other high power/high profile cars). I'm looking forward to what he can get out of this engine.

A little bit of googling goes a long way...
That's why I've been talking with another dealer in the area. The sales manager called to talk with me today, think he wanted to make sure I could actually, and would actually, buy the first one thay came in.
Hey, I'm Michael. Currently driving a (formerly supercharged) 86. Planning on selling it, and picking up the new Supra as soon as possible. Actually had the sales manager call me today. Think he thought I was just a tire kicker, instead of someone who's actually going to buy one. Apparently I'm...
This is a good thing for those of us who plan on modifying our new Supras when we get them. Tuners alrrady know how to adjust everything, and there's already big turbo kits out.
I wento first to Town And Country, here in Charlotte, and they wanted a 5k nonrefundable deposit. Said no thanks, and went to Scott Clark instead. No deposit, and I'm first on their list. I'm gonna go by later today, see if I can talk to the salesman again. (Forgot to get his business card)
