I find it strange they moulded the fake vents into the hood still.
I am also strongly against the fake vent on the door trim. I appreciate Toyota’s own “fix” by smoothing out the door garnish into functional aero.
Missed opportunity in my eyes for an TRD alternative.
That’s a real shame.
Unfortunately I’m not sure warranty will cover it, but if the paint is soft and you can scratch it with your nail, that would indicate improper curing.
If that’s the case you might have luck.
As I’ve stated earlier, they already knew when people did this.
If anything this code would be to inform you.
A dealer work shop manual explaining the codes as well as when the DME/ECU “phoning home”

Not to mention even a cursory...
Am I understanding that your purchase is for one map aside form making my own?
For example: I have a map for the stock car, then later add a downpipe. Would I have to purchase a new map?
The Supra has not been fully accessible since launch. The ECU/DME has not yet been fully unlocked: for example I can’t just throw larger injectors into it yet and have it work with a larger fuel rail.

They are cool though!
They are turn key spec race cars. So you can drop one on the track and meets all current regulations and requirements!
lots of manufacturers actually do this, they aren’t just usually advertised publicly and often have their own websites or dealership program...
Yeah that’s not a road going car though.
Think of this like the Porsche GT cup cars, or even spec Miatas.
They can’t ever be made road legal when bought from factory as an off-road vehicle.
They are cool though!
I would think the type of person that owns it, on average, would take care of it. The internet implies more people are hooning it then there actually is.
I mean, according to the internet every R35 is a wide body, but in person I’ve seen very few that actually are.
It’s a turbocharged car, they like fresh oil.
Keep in mind turbos cook oil faster, especially if you are enjoying the car on the backroads.
a little out of pocket for a piece of mind is worth it in my own opinion!
