not useless, virtually every single rwd 2+2 coupe (that isn't based on a sedan) is like this...i'm 5'11 and there is really no difference with the 86. either just have your rear passengers sit sideways, have their legs folded, or have them sit behind the passenger instead of the driver..
if that is the case where bmw & toyota will have separate engines that share the same block, it will be very interesting to see what sort of power each put out...basically whether bmw "allows" toyota to have higher specs..
a hybrid is just as unlikely as the supra getting the tt v6..and no thanks to the weight disadvantage even with a "mild" hybrid. plus most folks on here have agreed since there was no sticker on the supra when being tested at the nring it pretty much confirmed this..
..and you think Lexus building their new & exclusive TT V6 only to ship them to Austria makes more logistical sense? (not to mention the conflict of interest, don't think lexus would like their newest tech in a bmw chassis) As much as I wanted this to be a Toyota only project they aren't going...
I'm sure that had more to do with the costs associated with shipping GT86s from Japan to Europe..it wasn't worth their time to ship the stripper base models so the EU markets only got the higher spec models, double whammy. With the bmw supra's production potentially being in europe this...
I think @PerformanceSound might've gone with an incorrect wiki entry. Appears like Johann's firm was mainly there to build the original prototypes but obviously it is impossible to deduct over the intrawebz

if it is between a ZF or AISIN torque converter, would rather have the latter as they shift well enough and we get the peace of mind considering it comes directly from a huge toyota supplier. never had a complaint with any of the 8 speeds in the lexus f sports or the 6 speed when i had an...
it is all relative as to what is "useless". unless you and everyone you hang out with are giants, it works..it isn't meant to be necessarily comfortable or entirely practical. i love being able to put my son in the backseat, dog, gear, etc and being able to take a friend along obviously..sure a...
keep in mind, the evora has a wheelbase of over 100 in whereas the new z4/supra are estimated to be under that and most importantly the v6 in the lotus is transverse as opposed to the i6 being longitudinal in the supra so it isn't the best comparison. personally, i love the fact that the evora...

there doesn't need to be anything said beyond that. even if he was bullshitting us, it wasn't like we had any real answers before he started posting here
 admittedly, seeing how toyota has really adopted the quad pipe look with the Lexus F cars, TRD exhaust on the GT86 & on the top trim Camry, i wouldnt be surprised if this also comes to the supra
think you might be mistaken :) pretty sure I've seen nearly every vid & pic of the mules, never once have I seen anything that remotely looks like 4 exhaust tips
sure, but cars like the RCF/GSF/LC aren't Lexus's bread & butter. if they really cared about sales for such models, the GS would have been axed a long time ago but instead they ended the IS F production and introduced the GS F at a $20 K premium. don't think they really care :dunno: plus you...
it is most certainly the latter. they aren't the go to brand for rwd coupes, it was always going to be an uphill battle. lexus already has several money makers so arguably the lc is really just a halo car. plus, they already had the idea of limiting production to begin with which says something
