$2000 is a reasonable number. If you haven’t purchased the car yet, I think you may be able to do a bit better.
I got my 100k with platinum plus (tires, wheels, etc etc) for roughly $1050 once accounting games were played with trade in so they could show the correct profit on it. This was...
My audio installer powered the car up with the seats out while checking things and caused an issue. Once the car was back together, the airbag light and two seat warning notifications are active. They are willing to fix it, but currently the only way we know to fix it is to go to Toyota to...
If you put decent miles on your car, chances are good that as long as you don’t overpay, you will at a minimum break even. Run flats typically cannot be patched, so a couple of those could very well pay for the plan by itself. I am in sales and this is my daily driver, so i am expecting to...
That may be the route I go. I have a feeling it is vibrating the whole hatch. If the installer can’t figure it out when I get it back to them, I will likely make the plunge on BimmerCode as there are other issues I need to address that it can help with.
I had and have zero rattles other than the sine wave tone from the engine enhancement noise when in sport at idle. It is a crazy low tone. Barely audible but it rattles something in the back something fierce. If I have any accelerator action, it goes away immediately. If I turn off sport...
I just picked up my car from getting the sound work done and dropped it off to get it wrapped immediately after.
If you modify the central area where the 8” woofers are to put in a sealed box, you will have to relocate some electronics. Mine have been moved back closer to the battery so that...
The real elephant in the room is that many BMWs get sold by the dealership twice. Once in lease and once as a CPO. This move has the potential to add value to the CPO portion of their portfolio at little additional product cost. The savings from streamline production, supply, training, and...
I understand it is flashable. What I was hinting at was that if they can’t talk to one ECU, they may not be able to talk to any of them. If they can’t see what your ECU has to say, they can’t see what has been done to the ECU.
None that
I have not seen another HUD show google / Apple maps info.
This maybe more related to API on the maps software side. For the car to be able to display turns in the HUD it needs to be able to grab that information from the maps software and have it report out in a predictable /...
Well if they can’t do anything with the ECU, tuners should be ecstatic as they may have warranty for awhile.
Sorry to hear about your experience though.
The 8” are not full enclosure housings which is why they quit at higher levels. The JBL woofers are free air so you would have to rebuild the box for to install an 8” sub on each one and then you still have to cover your lower midrange unless you want the subs to handle it.
I’m getting mine...
When I brought my wife’s Highlander in for service today the two different salesman tried to explain on separate occasions that no-one is getting launch editions for MSRP. I told them I did and then one of them had the gall to ask how come I didn’t buy it from them?!? They are selling over...
I get mine back Friday and will know more on what needs to be done in regards to the bass. Depending on how the woofers signal is handled, I may need a Fix-82 before my amplifier as I am using it just to replace my lows as I am keeping my highs for now. I am hoping I don’t need it as it is...
My installer is part of some group that the installer who did that job is in. Apparently he knows him as he buys tools from him. My expectations are pretty high and I’m looking forward to Friday when I pick it up and finally have clean bass.
