Good to hear they are taking care of you. My In-Laws are out that way. I’m not thrilled with my local Toyota dealer so trying them out may be somewhat convenient either way as I’m down I-10 in Lake Charles.
There is a large shipment of parts coming in for the new year which may be what your dealer is referring to.
I may be relocating to Houston soon, if your happy with your dealers service, could you let me know which you are using?
Anyone have info for the watts per channel and what the crossover frequencies are (if any)?
I’m looking to replace my tweeters and 4” speakers and was hoping to reuse the factory amp for this - at least for the short term. So I asked JBL and Toyota.
JBL said no can do, Toyota is our...
The picture takers only bother me when they sit in my blind spot filming. At least until I get plates I can take off and leave them behind without worry.
Good to hear.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not thrilled with the learning curve that will be imposed on the technicians. At the same time, at a good dealership, they should have some smart guys who will figure it out.
I would ask my dealer to make sure they have the correct fasteners and once they are in, pull the panel and find the rattle. If you can’t trust the dealer to fix a door rattle, what are you going to do with a power train issue?
From what I recall, someone said the dome protector is two pieces (inner metal and outer plastic) and putting some gorilla glue or foam btw the two fixed it.
I do agree that the premium sound is absolute trash. I had a rental Sentra with premium sound and a rental GLA 250 that both made the...
For that price you could literally fly to a dealer elsewhere, buy the car at MSRP, drop it off to get wrapped in ppf locally, fly back home, and when it is done fly back to pick it up and drive it home. At the end of it all you get a nice weekend road trip in your new car along with a good ppf...
I would escalate it. If that fails, start a social media campaign shaming the dealer / Toyota on Facebook and Twitter. It may not work, but at this point if they told you to deal with it, then I would let the world know that you are dealing with it. Make your problem become theirs.
You may want to read up on them as power delivery is handled differently. One clutch is typically odd gears and the other even gears. In a DCT you can be in the next desired gear without being in it per se. It is just waiting to be engaged to the drivetrain but already engaged on the motor...
You may want to look on the suspension forum. They are more active in terms of posting what they are running with what. You likely will find an answer on the first page.
Don’t get me wrong, I hope they release one. They now have to overcome all the inertia from not having one.
I understand Toyota is a business, some seem to overlook that fact. They have people who truly hate the car and lack of a manual was the one step too far after collaborating with...
They just need to release a manual but they may have missed the boat now. Too much inertia with the die-hards to hate on because it is not a spitting image of a 20 year old car and power plant. Those sales likely aren’t coming back easily.
I swear, if they released a manual version on...
