There is more logic on the DME / ECU than what a flash has access to. The hardware needs a base layer that starts it up similar to the BIOS on your computer, this layer has some basic logging abilities that you cannot override by design. There are also other data logs that would be cumbersome...
The guy is a fucking moron. Trash talking his employer’s distributor on a public forum with a ton of identifying information. I haven’t even paid real attention to this jackass and I know way more than I should about this fool.
What happens when someone in his location reads his drivel and...
Nothing is completely undetectable. JB4 intercepts a handful of values from a litany of sensors. If you have a big enough warranty claim and Toyota goes looking, they will likely find a trace of the piggyback somewhere.
At the end of the day you should go in with the mindset of pay to play.
My best was a state cop was next to me at a light and rolled his window down to tell me he likes my car.
Mine was a little old lady in a Mercedes at a gas station.
There are a giant number of dimming option under the advanced settings using the Z4 in Bimmercode. You may want to look at Z4 forums as they may have your answer there in regards to dimming.
You need to let them know you are serious. My experience is no dealer that is fishing for over will budge unless you are in the door or you can convince them you are serious over the phone. It is a lot harder over the phone so you will need to be assertive and outright tell them what you are...
It is two. The seam is hidden fairly well. They tried several times with multiple people assisting for one piece but the film wouldn’t hold. My understanding is that it may be possible in gloss but it certainly isn’t with matte.
That car looks familiar for some reason. . . :hmm:
Anyone in the Houston area looking for PPF, wrap, coatings, or tint hit AFS up. They did a great job on my car and I cannot say enough good things about them.
Toyota is so unready for this car. The parts that sold me on this car are the parts that are going to give Toyota fits until the support network catches up. These small first year production issues are becoming some real monsters.
Sounds like the alarm is latched in iDrive. If it is like the seatbelt and airbag alarms, Bimmercode will clear it. Changing a setting on the head unit (IIRC) and having it code will then have the app clear any present codes on resetting the ECU.
The only time I’ve seen grill removal referenced, the trim cover of the sub box comes off before the grill is removed.
I would try firm upward motion first as you have nothing to lose by trying.
You could try shimming a trim tool in as they are clip around the grill.
I remember someone else in the Middle East having some heat issues
I don’t know if oil / engine temp is a flag for this but I recall someone from Qatar having concerns as he finished his race / track session at 140+ deg oil temp. Sounds like you need to make friends with someone with an ODB...
Is it still present today after the car has cooled down?
This condition has multiple triggers onBMW engines. Some are practically nothing and others are not. It can be sensors, turbo waste gate, VANOS solenoid, timing, etc.
You likely need an ODB diagnostic to know more.
