You may be right. I just would expect to see some oil at the breather.
I don’t see an o-ring seal on that plug failing twice unless machining was terrible on the seat or they forgot the ring.
You can add an iPad protector and trim it. If you aren’t good with a razor you may want to reach out to a good wrap shop and have them install and trim it.
Toyota should be ashamed of this mess of a system. I have a Nissan Sentra rental that has far better sound than the Supra from the factory. The even sadder thing is reading the Z4 forums, they got saddled with the POs from Harmen/JBL at tens of thousands more.
I’m trying to find the factory...
Decided on a pair of PIAA Superior Bass Horns. At 2.5 amps each I should be good as most standard horns draw 5-6 amps each. I’ll just have to fab a new bracket to install both in the same place.
If I am not happy after that, I’m going to install a relay and power it from the jump post and go...
Good to hear, now my sub won’t shake my car apart in idle at red lights when in sport mode. It plays a ~20hz sine wave for whatever dumb reason only in that condition.
I feel like all of these post read like YouTube versus reviews. Manual equals fun. :)
I have driven both and there is not a lie above said about either. I prefer the Supra, but that is just me. The only thing I would add is if you get the 86, drop some money in it to up the HP...
In the warranty / maintenance manual I believe it specifies 40,000 miles only for compliance with the emissions warranty.

Not seeing this in the manual.
Anyone know what the fuse on the horn power circuit is rated for?
Is it a dedicated circuit like the Z4 rated at 15 amps?
The current horn is terrible. I was literally working on my bumper when someone set the horn off and I didn’t even jump. It sounded like...
Good to know as I need my airbag and seatbelt codes cleared when I get it back from wrap. My audio installer who caused the codes says he has a guy at the local dealership who claims he can clear them, but if they can’t, now I can hold their hand on getting it done.
I have a dealer with an inquiry into Toyota (FSB or something) and it has been at least a couple weeks without nary a word.
Toyoda may have said this is a car he wanted to build, but it sure isn’t a car his company is ready to support.
I have had a request in now for a couple weeks. I don’t think Toyota is ready to service this car.
Bimmercode can fix this issue if you want to spend a few dollars.
Mine is my daily driver and I am often far from home for work, so this definitely has my attention. I have 1600 miles in mine, but it is being wrapped in ppf and vinyl so I am unable to inspect for a bit.
Let us know what Toyota has to say.
Do you happen to know your build date? With all the manual revisions I have seen, I would expect there were internal changes as well. Given the early mileage of the leak, I would hope something like this would have been caught and revised during production already.
I hope this is a quick...
