You can still trickle charge it. The battery maintenance system of the car will just hold off or reduce charging until it feels it needs to.
I’m intimately familiar with a similar stationary system (not the BMW one) and it wants to hold the battery around 70% (for extended life) and will...
I already have, but let me try again.
They put it on an external charger. That charger is not governed by the system so it can charge over the 80% limit of the BMW battery registration. The BMW charger in the car doesn’t necessarily charge at full current and will allow some discharge...
I think the factory amp did not have good power delivery to the amp or the power section in the amp is undersized. I no longer run the sub channel from the factory amp and the mids and highs are definitely cleaner and have better response than when the factory amp had to push the subs...
You are interpreting things wrong. If you can convince Toyota you are right, great. Your arguments would not work at BMW.
On registration, battery capacity is set to 80%, not 100%. This is why you BMW uses larger batteries than most manufacturers. It will not charge much over this, if at...
Yes for the IND one, no for Seibon. The seam is a cosmetic seam most likely, if full carbon they have additional layers under it that should be one sheet or at least different seam locations to mitigate stiffness losses.
Get a water filter on your hose. It doesn’t eliminate it, but it helps. A good ceramic coat will help. Any spots can be wiped off with little effort.
Bavsound will not sell just the doors. I have asked. With that said, I’m considering the Helix Match (250 pair), Parts Express (200-300 pair), and Focal ($600 pair) direct drop ins. I’m also considering several parted out or full three way systems and possibly a second amp.
It is just...
How much did the sensitivity change with Bavsound? The factory amp starts rolling back bass around 2/3rds volume pretty heavily. If have to turn it too much more, it will be problematic.
Replacing the factory woofers will go a long way. I added an amp for my subs, so I took the load of the factory amp which helped my mids and highs tremendously so my experience is different. The factory woofer are garbage though either way.
I don’t know if Bavsound has an amp to replace the...
Again, the tool you are using is not meant to be used how you are using it. I’m not saying it is wrong, but there are many reasons it may not be right.
I agree that you should pursue a new battery only because they told you they replaced it. The readings you are showing play no part in that.
What about during normal operation?
If it is track only, you will need to look at third party coolers.
I think @LS3Twins changed out his cooler. You may want to PM him.
You cannot recalibrate a lead acid battery. Outside of some incredibly narrow circumstances, capacity is capacity.
If your concerned (I would be), I would speak to the manager of the dealership and explain your stance based on what you were told and what didn’t happen. Be polite but voice...
