There is no other point of taking part in racing championship's then marketing and r&d. The 911 rsr for example does share about 5% of its parts with the street Gt3 rs. And the body shape....that's it!
Well, maybe Toyota needs some time to change a few major things, head of the engine? Suspension? Chassis?
I think the car will benefit from the extra months of work.

If it is not what you wanted don't buy it.
I would be glad to get an rx7/8 successor no matter how many seats it has or what kind of gearbox.
But it looks like I'll never ever get one.
So maybe it'll be a 370HP 2 seater automatic Supra wich looks damn...
