  1. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I love it, the increase in torque makes a huge difference to how it goes. It does mean the traction control is kicking in much more, especially in damp/cold weather, but having gone back to the stock map for a while it just feels lacking. I was going to look at getting the geometry looked at...
  2. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

So mine is back in with the dealer this week to have the recall done. It turns out that when they had it in October they didn't complete the recall. They'd swapped the tyres (I had a puncture the day before) and that was it. Ofcourse I didn't find this out until a couple of weeks ago when I got...
  3. Alternative Android support?

I do miss it from having it on my other cars, but as it's not my daily it wasn't a deal breaker. I just use the builtin Satnav and have copied some music over as FLACs via the USB to play.
  4. The All-New GR Corolla World Premiere April 1, 2022

Disappointing we don't look like we're getting this in the UK :(
  5. 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback & Sedan

Talk is the GR Corolla will be announced on 1st April. I've got my fingers crossed that we get it in the UK, as a lot of cars aren't making it over here now.
  6. OPF’s

I've not got any recordings of the sound I'm afraid. I might be able to get some in the future, if so i'll be sure to post them up here.
  7. OPF’s

I've got a Milltek filter-back exhaust on mine and it does make an improvment to the sound but keeps the filter and cat in place. It's not cheap, but it retains the valve so is controlable via the Sport button and should still meet all emmissions regulations...
  8. poor service before I buy is this what to expect

While my experience with the Toyota dealer has in general been good, it's clear they don't have experience of dealing with Supras. For my servicing, I've used a local independant garage I trust and the one time it had to go back to Toyota (for the safety recall), they were pleasent enough, but...
  9. Newbie - some buyer advice

I had my FK8 alongside the Supra for some time and to be honest the Civic was the better handling car to me, especially after I swapped the OEM wheels/tyres on it. IMO nothing I've driven has handled as good as it. Swapping straight into the Supra after the Civic, it felt a bit softer in the...
  10. Newbie - some buyer advice

The visibility isn't that bad I thought, that's with me coming from hatchbacks. Maybe if people are used to higher riding SUVs it's a big difference? As for being low down, I much prefer it to sitting higher up, it's actually a really nice place to be and as stated above, is quite comfortable on...
  11. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

They didn't say anything about it being mapped, but it's fairly clear it's modified (intake, struts, exhaust and louvres), so I imagine if it was a warranty issue they might have been different.
  12. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I've been happy with Litchfield. They didn't charge for removing the map or putting it back on, so all I paid for was a dyno run after it was re-applied.
  13. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I've now had the stage 1 put back on at Litchfield. They didn't mention any issues with mapping it again, so think it's all good. Just in time for the cold weather and it to sit in the garage for the winter. I've not seen any other issues, but it's not been used a whole lot othjer than the...
  14. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I think this is right, it's mentioned on the initial letter that I got about the recall and so I asked when i had mine done, they checked but didn't need to replace the vacuum pump. It seems to be rare occurances that cause damage to it anyway.
  15. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I've got it booked in with Litchfield on 24th Nov as they're super busy now for some reason. Will keep you posted.
  16. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

Collected mine earlier and from what I understand the fault can cause an issue with the vacuum pump and as part of the recall they check to see if it's been damaged already. If not, then it's just the ECU update that would stop it from happening. Not noticed anything else with mine, but i'm...
  17. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

My Milltek exhaust is OPF back, so I haven't had to worry about it myself, but that's a good point. Did you keep the cat they took off and could get a local garage to stick it back on for the recall?
  18. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

Litchfield took the tune off last week and I've got it booked in with my local Toyota to be done on Wednesday. It's their first one, so hopefully it's a simple job they can just follow instructions on.
  19. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I've got mine booked in at Litchfield on 14th to have the stock tune put back on. I'm waiting on my local Toyota dealership to get back to me with some dates for me to get that booked in.
  20. Supra Brake Assist Engine Recall

I think you can also check by putting the registration into check-mot.service.gov.uk and below the mot details it should have a section on outstanding recalls
