Thanks for your input, the reason I posted after checking the other threads is that everything I saw before was US cars and so wanted a UK take things.
I'll be sure not to waste anyone elses time in future.
Just received a letter from Toyota this morning saying that my Supra (69 plate) falls under the recall for the Brake Assist Engine Management Software.
The fix sounds like it's a update of the engine management software, but as mine is currently running a Litchfield stage 1, I'm a bit worried...
I'm looking at a new bonnet for it, so would need it painting to match the rest of the car.
Thanks, that gives me hope I can get a new bonnet painted to match.
I have PPF on my A90 edition. My local Toyota dealership took it to the place to have the PPF done so it was done ready for when I collected it. I'd have hoped Toyota themselves would've said if I was breaching the warranty by having them do that.
Influencers like shmee who move from one car...
About 900 miles on mine, garaged over night and my Civic is my daily, so it's only been out on dry sunny days so far.
So far, i've got a Milltek exhaust on it and some louvers for the rear window on order.
I've gone for the Miltek valved in the end as it's got a different sound, not that much louder, but a different tone. Booked in for it to be done next Wednesday, so i'll report back.
[Edit] they've posted a comparison video on instagram:
Also Litchfield have updated their page, showing the...
So I was confused by a parcel I wasn't expecting when I got home from work, turns out it was from Toyota. It included a letter thanking me for my patience, a certificate to say my VIN is a certified premium edition and a glossy print:
Wasn't something I was expecting, so that's always good...
Yeah I get that. I've done about 450 miles in mine. Trying to only be out in the dry, but been caught out a few times. Really loving it so far and looking forward to have it run in and in the warm and dry next year.
Yeah tested at annual MOTs which isn't an issue for a new car as it's not tested for the first 3 years, but there is also the (small) chance you can be stopped for a roadside check: https://www.gov.uk/emissions-testing
My WRX STI had a sports cat, but would still fail emissions on an MOT check...
I've heard back from Milltek who are saying that their GPF back exhaust is no louder than the stock version with the silencer and that they offer a "race" version without silencer, but this is also without a valve to control the volume in normal mode.
I'm wondering if there are any other...
I'm going to be looking to get a GPF back Milltek exhaust on mine in the coming months.
I saw that Litchfield on instagram are reporting their stage 1 is available and on their test car got 446bhp and 455lbft on Vpower with no other changes. That's a big jump and i'd want to know if the gearbox...
I got a small keyring for housekeys and the like, but it doesn't fit the car key I got, so it's not much use.
The dealer should have provided the manual really.
I got the manual, service book, bamboo case and plush Issho toy from the dealer and didn't have to ring anybody.
I've been considering if it's worth buying an old iphone just to use CarPlay. The lack of Android Auto is very frustrating as I just don't find the BMW interface very intuitive and the satnav is out dated compared to Goole Maps.
But if there's a lot of faff in having to ring people to set it...
