When I change oil or get a new car, I normally buy a liter or 2 for the addition of oil if needed. Find an oil that meets spec. You dont need a dealer to top if the fk off if you are not using oil out of spec.

I would not start a car and risk oil everywhere or internal damage. Have it taken to the dealer if you cannot determine the potential for damage.
