That's only if it was LC based and Toyota had developed their own straight six. A cheaper and faster option would have been to used the RC chassis (I know I know its a pig...) with Toyota's new V35A.
Pretty much, in the sense that its so expensive that no one gives a crap about it. The average joe doesn't have $160k+ to dump on a car. And those that do are probably going to go with a more established brand like Porsche. The Supra being 1/3 of that price is definitely more attainable, so...
Just going by the Q&A with officials from both Toyota and BMW. :dunno:
Right, we all get that, but the parts and R&D are already there.
Of course, but there is a segment of older guys that this might be appealing too. With that said, I agree with you. I wouldn't hold my breath either. I mean...
Since it's built on a Z4 chassis you would think it's good to go. :dunno:
It has been mention in one of the older threads, but BMW and Toyota said each company was free to do as they please. The reason why BMW didn't push through with a Z4 coupe is sales would most likely be super low. I'm...
Correct me if I'm wrong guys, but...
U.S. 2020 = global 2019
U.S. 2021 = global 2020
In other words, same sh*t. But we just label it differently for some reason.
As much crap as I have given the 4 banger; imo, out of the two it makes more sense for a dd. It's cheaper and has more then enough power to get you to point A to B.
Now if Toyota can give it a manual and price it at $40k or less, I could see a number of 86 owners jumping aboard.
It has been brought up in a few random threads, but we don't have a dedicated thread on the matter because I believe no one knows the total production numbers by year, color, market, 3.0 vs 2.0, trim level etc. :dunno:
They knew since the unveiling in 2014 that a Toyota BMW mash up was happening. Several of the design team members even said a road version would be around 10% smaller and to expect a price tag of $50k-$60k.
I understand the red show car was made larger for stage presence and whatnot. And it...
I think someone said the only reason why the DS blue went away for 2021 was because of the special edition refraction blue. But once they are done with the A91 editions, DS blue will probably make a return for the 22 MY.
Red is too common imo.
Yellow really stands out, but in a good way.
Black hides the fake vents the best, but good luck with the up keep.
Blue looks nice, but it's a special edition with a higher price tag.
White is a classic nice color. It looks good overall, but the fake vents will really stand...
