just wishful thinking!
I'm trying real hard to hold off for a while for a meaningful confirmation from Toyota. Otherwise I'm not that far off from pulling the trigger on something else.
Exactly. I'm not the garage queen type. I cannot buy anything that I have to pamper! I like what JL once said... I buy cars that are 9 or 10 and drive them until they are 6 or 7!
My dealer service mgr asked me if I pamper my cars. I said I take care of them but I use them hard for what they are...
^ what I'm starting to dislike about this new era of performance cars is the non-enthusiast speculators who ruin it for the rest of us. It seems on these limited edition cars, if you are not able to buy them at msrp when new, you'll end up paying a premium to a speculator or dealer to buy them...
Just talked to a sales mgr, the first allocation of GT4's are already sold out. I think the production number was supposed to be like GT3, in the 500-600 range (?). They might run a second production of 200-300, but not all dealers are getting them. It's questionable if they continue with manual...
If we are looking at 2018, then either toyota will have a flop on their hands like NSX where it'll be old news by then, unless they completely change the design, which I'm not sure I'll be a fan anymore. Loosing their current momentum and the wow factor with the FT1 would not be a smart move...
I can see this turn into a sub 20 year old cult thingy! Standing united and group pee'ing in public @ whatever stands in their way!

I test road the Cayman GTS and Carrera Targa 4S at the track back to back. Although Porsche didn't allow me push their cars much, I tried to unsettle the cars in corners to see how they'd respond.
Targa 4S felt very much luxury sports sedan like to me, no surprise, since they are targetting fat...
Weigh was recently announced at 2955 lbs. With 385 Hp on tap and sub 100" wheel base (97.5"), this starts to look and offer everything I'd want in a car....an awesome track witch that can go against big boys who "can" actually drive!
Toyota- better hurry up and get off the pot and commit before...
If greed is the driver, ford may fall flat on their face with a lot of very expensive cars on their hand.
A poll on GT forum indicates 50% of people there are willing to cough up the money. But it seems their dealers aren't getting any!?!?
I bet you they are mostly going to either UAE or...
Haha... Nice! I used to own a 1973 3.0CS....one of the most under rated rare classic super cars of the era. I think they only produced 1100 of the CSL version..
Not sure what's up car industry's panties anymore! One Ford dealer who sells 100-150 fords a year was complaining on the GT forum that he cannot even get one for himself!!!
Way too many speculators mixing it in, and closing the doors on enthusiasts! And the car manufacturers know it and they...
Details announced in Geneva; $397K, 250 units per year. I think the total number is 1200, making it a four year run (?).

Well, dunno! The article states the design hasn't changed much....implying they must have been running this design for sometime now...?
But I do agree, it somehow looks crap and the design element don't flow or connect as well as FT-1.
Once I walked into a Fisker show room. I asked two...
$176K, just to get 5 second on std GT3 around the ring!
With the new (?) 4 liter engine, I'm curious if they went back to the Mezger engine from the last 4 liter RS engine? Or it's based on a bored out Carerra S 3.8 engine (which is the same base engine used in the current GT3 & 4)...
^ you like your Lexus, hmmmm? ;)
I think we just added 300pounds right there...
As for me, screw the creature comfort... All I want is to have the engine from this baby, although old, it could be updated!
