you don't need to remove weather strip to get to 2 bolts. you will see holes for those Torx screws behind weather strips. Once removed, you can prop it out with some "careful" force. watch out for retainers and foam gromat around plastic retainers. It may fly around as you pop it out and...
Wow... they let you go out on the track /w cup in the cup holder? that would be quite dangerous if the cup flys and hits anything... for next time, please leave that off the car. no loose item should be in your car while driving in the track..
That's depending your track experience.
in General, I'd recommend to start out with just sports mode and TP to 34# to begin with. And then gradually take of traction control off and VSC off as well as lowering TP.
Also, having protection like track tape or blue tape and tire pressure...
Did you tried to reset TPMS by entering as custom wheel? as I understand, R888R does not have correct size for Supra so I assume you have 265 35 r19's in front. I installed new TPMS and that's what I had to do to correct TPMS malfunction message.
I've done the same thing. ;) but my plastidip costed me $10!
It works perfectly on normal/street use but after track days, it burns off. I just need to re-dip it. ;)
Frame damage will most likely lead to total.... that's terrible.. when I was taking few parts off mine to wrap, I realized a lot of parts were aluminum. what I saw could've been the chasis/frame which means any hard impact to the car will result in frame damage like old NSX, i think. So far...
that is f'ing terrible.. One of my wish is somehow our backup camera always record video so that we can use it in case like this. definitely see if you can find video footage near by.. Good Luck..
I see that handful of supra owners are coming from S2000 world. Just curious..
I used to own Red '00 AP1 supercharged (RED) and still own White '08 AP2 (Mochi). Mochi still is my baby but Supra (Oddih) will be servicing for track days. if you are coming from S2000 or owned S2000, what's...
Well.. I do shift the hell out of my S2000's at 8K & 9K (I tracked both AP1 & AP2) and it does have right feeling, same for NA & Supercharger. acceleration was consistent and reliable - more like.. expected.. However, say for example, lightning course in NJMP. Coming out of light bulb, I'm...
It's so bad that it happened to your BN Supra.. pass the information to insurance company and let them deal with it. It is emotional and I'd be beyond pissed off too. But sometimes it is not worth confronting such a shitty A-Holes yourself. let the insurance company deal with those low life...
computer is reacting to input I give, where when I shift, I anticipate and what RPM it should be for entry and exit of the corner. although I could have it auto on straight, I will have hard time switching between auto and manual consistently... BTW, on highway, computer switched gear at 7,000...
yes. I agree. I like the simple design of v2. but I noticed that gloss black finish is easily scratched. is yours too? the CF wrap was left over from other parts so it worked for me.
Wheels cleaned. center cap painted flat black, brake caliper sticker put on.
Maxton v2 lip was wrapped and installed as well. I thought this lip was easy to install but it needed some work. once it's on, it looks good. I think.. :)
A90's red line is 7,000 RPM (Orange starts at 6,500 RPM) but looking at dyno chart, power peaks at 4,750 RPM and falls to ground at around 6,400 RPM.
when do you shift to get optimal acceleration?
