Don't accelerate into a turn. You accelerate to power out of a turn as you need less grip for the cornering at that point. This applies to any car. You have to balance your available traction between cornering and acceleration. If you're already near the limit of traction from cornering then...
Yup it's my only car. Mild winters here so it gets driven year round and in any weather. I had a sports car as a second car years back and regretted not driving it more when I sold it after 7 years with less than 25k miles on it. I bought this car to drive and enjoy and that's what I'm doing.
I wanted to get rid of the chrome so I hyperdipped the wheel caps anthracite grey and did the chrome border on the Supra badge frozen black. The grey is a slightly different shade but overall looks good to my eyes. If you stare hard at it up close it is noticeable that it’s not a perfect match...
I got my A91-MT from Hendrick in Concord for MSRP +499 nitro/pinstripe package (which I declined). No other add-ons or mark-ups. This was late last year and was by far the best deal I found. Avoid North Charlotte Toyota. They're awful and have huge mark-ups.
Why don't you just say you're selling your allocation for $20k because that's what you're doing. Also that's insane. Canada dealers can't do markups so now people have to deal with guys like you that are adding their own markup and making the process more complicated. I hope no one pays that...
You get used to the visibility. I was pretty concerned initially but now it's fine. Make sure you know how to adjust your side mirrors properly. I daily my Supra and have no complaints.
Well glad the clutch is behaving but that's weird about that other issue. Hopefully that was just a fluke.
I'm at 4k miles and do have a minor dash rattle that's been there since day 1. It sounds like it's the front passenger corner of the carbon fiber shifter surround. It comes and goes and...
I should clarify, when I say pump gas I mean 93/91, not an E blend and definitely not meth injection. I haven’t seen people reaching anywhere close to 600 wtq on 93 alone.
Isn’t that exactly what we’re seeing: slippage at 600wtq.
Who’s slipping in the 400s? I’m not trying to be a pain in the ass. I just haven’t seen anybody post those numbers and say they’re slipping. All I heard was some other tuned manuals were seeing some slipping but no mention of numbers...
Is adding 50% more torque than stock and getting slippage surprising to you?
What torque levels are the other people running that are getting clutch slip?
Upgrading the clutch when going for big power is expected. I'd hope it would be able to handle something like a pump gas tune though. I...
