He’s not saying it’s the same issue. He’s just saying that BMW has had a history with EPS failures in the past. This rack failed as well as another MKV so there is def a culprit.
Get ready MKV owners, this could only be the start of what’s to come. EAG mentioned this is a known issue with the EPS on BMW’s.
What’s also something to really focus on is Toyota denying the warranty. This can get ugly.
BS that something built in-house can't be exciting. Listen to Andreas Preuninger talk about the GT4. This is passion! I'm sorry but Tada-San is so out of touch with reality and so passive that it's scary that he was a CE or at least in charge of some of the projects...
Now the MR2 could be developed in-house...

Technically, it's supposed to be a J29 since it's shared with the BMW Z4 which is G29. A90 was just superimposed because of the previous Supra chassis code names.
That def looks a lot better. I love the mesh look, the lip,the near square tire profile and that wheel fitment is on point. However, the body lines and the shape of the car just doesn't wow me.

I get the cultural aspect but in this case this is a huge market and financial decision on the feature of a production vehicle. To keep making blanket statements is on the verge of a compulsive liar.
My wife has a '16 TLX and that it's nice... like an updated Accord nice. This concept is very nice and I hope they don't deviate too far from this on the production model.
Given that Toyota did not offer a MT was instant deal breaker for many. So without a doubt, Toyota should offer at MT.
AT is usually the premium over MT so why does it have to be offered on the Premium level?
Is it a Pilkington windshield? If so, BMW owners have addressed their issues with that brand.

Haha exactly. The TRD 86 was one example; majority cosmetic. They could have at least offered a TRD s/c like they do for the trucks. Something from the factory to bump up the power. Nope b/c Tada wants "balance".
Tada should have made it known from the beginning that a MT wasn't going to be...
