I say it's a track/grmn edition. It makes sense add more power for a higher price tag. I dunno. I feel like they invested so much into the b58c to just throw it out the window in a year. Doesnt sound like good business to me if the car is selling well as is.
I remember the summit point event interview with the chief engineer Mr. Tada. And how they mentioned a more powerful version being tested with no real gains in performance so they stuck with less hp.

I get it but until both get tested side by side who knows what the capabilities of each are. I'm thinking the aftermarket support is going to follow the launch car though. Europe will only get the headifold design. The u.s aftermarket is behind on product development with quite a few buying...
I kind of wish they would just stick with the b58c and let everybody modify the one head. Having a change is going to require the aftermarket to build multiple exhaust platforms for turbos and maybe ecu tunes
I did some vin number searches beyond what all the LE supras are. It goes past what the current date is for a production date. All engines still show B58c.
Alcantara seats do show on vins
Fuel is going to be our limiting factor with the direct injection and high psi fuel system. I actually think the headifold will help us push the car to higher boost with the added cooling. Instead of fuel and head only cooling we get another system cooling the exhaust as well. I've read it...
If I threw what little knowledge out that I know of the B58. My mods for power would be.
Catless downpipe
Tune
Intake
These three mods together should put you around 420 whp and lots of torque. Should go 11s pretty easy but I'm sure traction becomes an issue
