That's what I said, I was so down to pre-order them but when they announced the price it went from a hell yeah to an ah hell fucking nah.
$200 shipped max is what I would pay for a have to have it price.
Have Iilumo, installed myself. Looks good at night.
During the day, from a distance it's not as bright as OEM but I feel like with certain colors you can sill see a definitive DRL line. If you're using white or an OEMish color, it's definitely dimmer from a distance during the day. I still feel...
Helped a friend use BimmerLink to program the new battery but still had the same problem as you, turned out the new battery was also dead lol.
Maybe check the voltage of the new battery? Is it identical specs as the previous battery?
That’s super dead, dead to the point jump starting won’t work.
For what it’s worth, with the car off the battery voltage should be around 12.6. 11ish range, you can charge it a couple times and be okay but it’ll eventually die out. Around 10, it needs to be replaced
CP65 is such a pain in the ass. People literally will go into stores looking for products without the warning label, have it tested and if it fails they sue the manufacturer and retailer.
All that crap says is this product is made with materials that have been known to cause cancer. Unless...
Not necessarily.
You can retest until you pass. A lot of shops are no payment unless you pass, so you can test a few times My dad owned a smog shop for years before retiring recently.
If you pass and your CVN does not match OE spec they’ll send you a state ref notice later for another...
When they run the mirror on a cat, they’re looking for an EO number on the catalytic converter to make sure it’s CA state approved. Can’t just use an EPA approved one.
CARB is so damn extra.
Depending on the model year, you're either doing STAR (OBD) or a regular tail pipe emissions Smog. The...
California does 2 types of SMOG.
STAR - using OBD2 only and visual, used for newer cars, forgot what year it starts at
Sniffer - tail pipe probe and dyno, used for older cars, forgot what the cut off year is. Newer cars with constant failed emissions may also be subject to a sniffer test or be...
Evap, EGR and O2 need about 40 to 50 miles to reset after flashing the ECU. It's still collecting data.
IIRC, EGR or EVAP requires a cold start the get a baseline.
Do you know if Arizona checks for CALID and CVNs too?
Doesn’t matter. New cats for replacement have to have an EO Number on it to make it legal for the state of California, which would also allow it to pass a Smog visual inspection. CARB has to be all extra about it.
A lot of aftermarket cats come with an EPA certification but that doesn’t matter...
