No I get your point. You weren’t happy with the initial solution he offered because you didn’t want to pay to replace something out of warranty. I get that, I’m sure we’ve all been there at some point with something we’ve bought in our lifetime. But like I said, if it’s out of warranty then it’s...
Not taking sides here but if something is out of warranty then it’s out of warranty. Why would anybody expect any company to replace it for free? I think what he’s offered is fair in this case, it’s not like he didn’t offer a solution.
Yep this is definitely part of the equation. That’s also why I like the idea of a Pure 800 if it’s a true drop in replacement because I could do it myself. I’ve read the stories also but I’m sure there are plenty more people that have had no issues with them.
What you’re saying is true, and I appreciate the info. And you’re right, ultimately it boils down to money. If it really were only a few bucks then I’d definitely easily choose the new one, but in this case the difference between a new one and a used, rebuilt one could be between $500 to $700...
All good points. I would have no idea how it was used or how hard it was ran or who owned it previously. I agree with you about having the piece of mind of buying a new one, but I was hoping that the rebuild would do that, but I really have no idea what a rebuild actually fixes. I’m hoping...
Hey guys I’m considering buying a used Pure 800 and wanted to ask if that’s a good or bad idea. If I can get it for under $1500 and then have Pure rebuild it, then would it be as good as a new one coming from them? It looks like they charge around $500 for a rebuild. Let me know what to look for...
I have a bunch of @NVSpecialties parts and they’ve never failed me and are some of the best I’ve seen, especially the parts that are direct replacements for OEM parts. I’m not being biased either because I have carbon parts from Rexpeed, APR, Autotechnik, Revel GT, eBay, Seibon and others I’m...
This is amazing info Phil. I really appreciate it. So it sounds like I definitely need to re-bleed my system, but I’ll be sure to check both systems. Thank you.
Okay so these procedures worked but how do I know if I should repeat the procedure to try and flush out more air? The car did tell me the process was complete though after I ran it and it told me I needed to add more coolant a couple of times so I did that and ran the process again until it...
When I went to buy mine I originally wanted that deep blue color that’s no longer available. As I was pulling into the dealership they had parked it right next to a red one. I kid you not, but as soon as my eyes saw how gorgeous this car is in red I was immediately sold. If you’re like me and...
Yeah It wasn’t the stock hood. The stock hood was fine on it for the past few years. A few months ago I got a carbon hood and after getting it painted and adjusted it was just a bit too low in certain areas so it rubbed. Basically anytime I stepped on the gas, the engine torqued just enough to rub.
