US personnel have been saying Detroit for full reveal for a while so it makes sense... so, SEMA (if it's still happening) should be the camo car reveal on the other side of the atlantic.
I covered it a few months back in one of the threads, but you'd have to locate it.

your point stands none the less, but I also love modern Tremec transmissions (TR6060/6070) :)
I also agree in regards to them being a pretty brawny trans, but they have gotten much better than the T56 era lol. I want to swap a 6060 into my A70 eventually.
Good questions, but I'm not real sure.
I always figured the two cars would be around the same price, but figured the BMW would cost a bit more given badge, tech, convertible, etc.
I was told, long ago now, that $55k USD was the target price for 6cyl car with expected options. I feel the GRMN...
It was designed to be that from the get-go, so basically more Akio IMO.
Tada wanted to do a mid engine car, would have probably been called MR2 lol, but Akio was like nah I want an FR platform above the 86. So here we are.
After driving both, I feel you are correct as i'm sure many who have owned both would agree.
IMO, both response and handling were better in the Z32 despite plenty of other things the jza80 did better.
I think toyota cheaped out a bit on the plastic trim in the A80, but design wise I always felt it was gorgeous. It wasn't great for the passenger because the car was always touted as driver centric, hence cockpit with all gauges and meters facing the driver.
If I was going to call out anything...
Gazoo definitely has the budget to do pretty much whatever Akio wants (see his personal Toyota Century GRMN lol). It is VERY possible that some of the tech I was told would be on the car, like the carbon roof and one other particular item I have not mentioned will be on that car instead...
wind noise isn't a big deal on a race car, plus weight savings :)
could also be to fix clearance as the door seal isn't all that thick on the upper portion when compared to the gap seen on the race car (with body seal removed).
