  1. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

different front end, rear end, interior, roof, suspension/ECU tuning, at least one of the engines, and probably more. IDENTIKURU!!!
  2. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Shame they dont know more about what you base that on lol :)
  3. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

yeah, they have a displacement tax... it's why the 1G-GTE/GA70s (2L-I6) sold so well in JP. Fuel is also expensive there, so there's that too.
  4. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

I think what I said might have been misinterpreted... 'later' in this context has no specific meaning other than at some point in the future (could be later this year, could be next year, could be in the GRMN two years from now) I will throw this out there though, a staged release has been...
  5. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

I've had plenty of both, but agreed on the 1JZ being the favorite. There's just something there that draws me to it.
  6. If not the New Supra, then what?

The 1M was a badass car for sure, and I should have bought it at the time.
  7. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

It's frustrating, and they do it more now because they know it annoys me. I can't exactly say much though as I do it too...
  8. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Another hint, "everything is on a cycle, and that cycle is nowhere near complete." So it sounds like the debut of this other motor will come later. Beyond that, I have no idea..
  9. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

I'm making 650whp stock driveline JZA70, aside from motor mods like cams, fuel, turbo, etc. The stoutness of the jza80 is really the transmission, with the bump in displacement making more power under the curve, but that's about it.
  10. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Engineers reply: "Believe the information we have given you versus what you see online. When the car is released it will explain your question." So it sounds like they aren't going to give anymore for now, but that the iron block engine is somewhere. He also said, "production prototype sure...
  11. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Yes, provided it's the same B58 used in the mules (likely).
  12. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Well, I've sent my thoughts over to one of the engineers. We shall see what he says.
  13. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Well, previously I had thought the new motor was an iron block variant of the B58, which makes plenty of sense for both cost cutting and fitting nearly the same package under hood. However, one of the people close to Tada said its a new architecture (not B58), so I ran with it as his info has...
  14. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

Pretty epic shot right there, but more questions arise... I had mentioned before that I felt a 4cyl and two 6 cyl trims would be available (purely my own thoughts), but now I'm curious if the iron block is indeed a top trim option (maybe GR?).
  15. New (Unconfirmed) Details and Specifications of US-Spec MKV Supra:

I'm relieved to know I wasn't the only one...
  16. New (Unconfirmed) Details and Specifications of US-Spec MKV Supra:

I appreciate that, Chikane, but it's no worries :) My position with the A90 was the same one it is with Lexus and that is an engineering liason (at least on paper). In reality, I may do something quite a bit different, but I cannot elaborate further.
  17. New (Unconfirmed) Details and Specifications of US-Spec MKV Supra:

Well, mule and production are different, so I wouldn't write it in stone. That said, it's a reference point if nothing else.
