I'm not anti 4 banger. Toyota should have definitely called this a "Celica". Do the whole Firebird vs Trans AM treatment.
So yeah, kinda proves my point. If true, $42k is a lot. And if more options are offered later on how much would that be? Will it start approaching on the $49k price tag of...
I think $42k will be a rought sale. IMO, Toyota should have kept the B58C as the base model. Offer it with the 18in wheels, manual seats, four-speakers, spring suspension, etc. And a MT wouldn't hurt ;)
Comparing spec via Motor1.
Two missing cylinders :p
If Toyota does decide to bring it here I'm curious on how well it will do. History recap, the GE A80s did sold in much lesser numbers than the GTEs.

Same here, with that said let's not pretend Toyota didn't toy around with the idea of an in-house Supra/halo sports car. Let's recall in 2007 with the FT-HS concept. But as usual the internet and SF came in with their negative comments like 'fugly front" and "LOL V6", so I'm not surprised that...
I don't even understad the logic of SF/MK4 owners anymore.
Nissan releases the R35 GT-R.
SF: That shit is fugly (I agree lol), no MT or I6. That's not a real GTR.
Toyota releases the Lexus RC-F.
SF: It's a pig that loses to the M3/M4. Chassis sucks and AT only. Who would buy this over the...
The UK is also forgoing the 4 banger.
New Toyota Supra: four-cylinder not coming to UK

I believe the MT is only offered on the lower spec 4 banger Z4 in the EU. The 4 banger Supra that will be offered in Europe only comes with an AT. I believe Japan also get the lower spec 4 banger Supra, and its AT only.
They could just sell a rolling chassis. :D
As I said it does make sense...
In other news, Nissan is reportly working on a 400hp Z replacement for an estimated $40k price tag. If true, RIP 4 bager Supra. :p
