I would agree that pricing is key to the success or failure of the 4 banger. A70 hinted at $42k, assuming the 3.0 remains the same the two have only a 16% differences in price.
Gotta love the polls. 90% of people say that wanted a MT, and only 10% for the 4 banger. So what does Toyota do...

1 Release a niche product.
2 Hardly gives it any real updates like their competitors.
3 Sales fall.
4 Toyota blames product / segment.

Nice, I would have done the same. I think the years from now the 4 banger Supra will end up like the NA MK4s. WAY Lower resale with no one really wanting one except to do an engine swap.
