Did people really think that I was cross shopping a C8 and Tesla Model 3?
Just read guys. Read the entire post. This is how fake news gets spread, when people don’t read:(
I think you make a good point. I’m not trying to disrespect you or anything (thanks for the vid) but i Will use a different analogy to make my point.
When the Tesla Model 3 came out, all we heard about was lowest priced Tesla ever and $35,000 starting price
A lot of people got caught up with...
What’s a Supar?:p If it’s the rumored GRMN version and has ~500hp, I’d take it over the C8:drive: :nixon:
Performance wise, if Chevy is really able to deliver on $59,999 on a base C8, that’s hard to beat for the price. Wouldn’t blame anybody for taking a better at that price. But I just think...
You know what I find ridiculous?
When I bought my GS400, a lot of the e39 and e60 BMW guys teased me by saying “nice Toyota”
Now that we have the a90 Supra, people are now saying “nice BMW”
So which one is it?:dunno: What is supposed to be good and what is actually supposed to be...
Not sure why the C8 keeps getting brought in when it will be several months until it gets released. Once again, if the $60k model does become available (at this point, i have my doubts and think the majority of cars will be in the high 70’s) it will be well after the launch.
There’s a huge...

You’re a true car guy and your family. I wish there were more folks like your family. I’m definitely happy to see and hope more people are like that!
I just think there are many biases in between everything. There are many different reasons (sometimes it makes sense philosophically...
Not sure if new Corvette will really impact Supra sales.
I am of the opinion that people will buy what they buy. Ford truck fans would never buy a Chevy and not even consider an “import”, same with Chevy fans and “import” fans. German car fans will always buy German cars no matter what.
You...
If I were you, I would take the Supra.
I had a similar decision to make back in the day: used MKIV Supra or slightly used Lexus GS400.
I picked the GS400:eek:
I’m gonna give you the context though: Back then, the MKIV was not the legend that it is today. It did not have the value that...
Thanks for the pics guys. I appreciate it, and glad it’s being made already!
However, I’m waiting for the 1:18 model with opening doors and bonnet:headbang:
Guys... I don’t think it’s worth it to get into an argument over this.
Many people have their eyes on this car and it’s totally fine. We all wish that it will appeal to as many people as possible.
I know people who drive Miatas and S2k’s who are paying close attention.
I know people who drive...
For me, the numbers don't matter.
What does matter to me is that this car is class competitive.
Will it be <13 seconds in the 1/4 mile and do 0-60 in <4.4 seconds (4 flat would be great)?
I just don't want this to be another GS-F, where all of the competitors are one notch above the car...
I do hope that the major components in your project (namely the engine, for starters;)) eventually trickles down to Lexus sedans in time (as well as the production version of the LF-1)
I can afford the car and like a lot of you guys, I am a professional in my 30's who grew up admiring the 1990's Toyota sports cars. Feels good to be able to be in a position to live out those childhood dreams!
However, as a non-homeowner who may soon be a homeowner, I have my concerns about the...
Not to derail this, but....
This was the last time Lexus had a car that was actually faster than its (top of the line) German Rivals
And I still drive one:rolleyes1:
What happened since then?:(

That is also something that I don't understand.
Granted, the specs are not officially released, but How does a car with (supposedly only) 350hp and ~3300 lbs achieve that? And also, those specs don't nessisarily equal 0-100km in <4 seconds either:hmm:
Don't get me wrong, i hope this is all...
