That makes at least 2 of us... and I suspect a lot more:headbang: and I agree that Chikane makes a good point: Don't undetestimate those looking exclusively at Toyota/Lexus products. As one of these people, I find myself cross shopping things that may seem weird, but they are normal to meo_O:p...
I actually think that most BMW M, Audi RS and Mercedes AMG owners are NOT considering the RC-F (or if we wanna play that game, the ATS-V for that matter). Even though all 3 "compete" on paper, I think the battle lines have been drawn. There are people who only buy German. People who only buy...
Thanks for that. I appreciate it.
Does Lexus have any next generation F-cars that are bring developed or considered? I ask this because I am actually a Lexus guy who considers the Supra an attractive (and currently, #1) alternative compared to the RC-F and GS-F, mainly because of pricing. But...
This is all esimates, BUT
I really hope that 480HP TT V6 is true. Sounds way better than the 360hp or so BMW inline 6.
Unless it is a porky pig, those specs should allow for 0-60 in under 4 seconds (assuming it is ~3400 lbs)
Since I have been looking at the RC-F anyway, I don't mind...
I am a 1:18 collector only...... but I am getting desperate for an FT-1 model....
Would somebody kindly post a picture of their 1:24 scale FT-1 next to ANY 1:18 scale vehicle? I just want to see if it's displayable together or not, scale wise.
In the perfect world.. it would be this one (credit: 93supra):
Would absolutely love it if it was this one:
This one is my middle ground:
Would settle for this one:
Would be disappointed with this one (especially proportions)
They are very tight lipped and secretive with this car. I feel like if it was another automaker, more information probably would have leaked by this point:confused:
With all the panels still heavily disguising this car for this long, I would not he surprised if they have hidden things like an...
If this is true.. then I wonder if we may be 3 years away from the ultimate Supra. Remember, other than the RC-F, the Lexus F-cars all came out years after their more basic models which are meant to be their volume setters.
I may be in the minority here, but that is why I hope the Supra does NOT look like this:
Masterful job of capturing the lines on the mule... but since this car looks like the mule WITH some of those fake panel bulges, I hope it does not look like that. To me it looks stubby.
Here's hoping...
I feel like the (blue) parts make the car look chunky... way chunkier than the proportions of the concept. Hopefully they are either 100% fake or just trying to hide something. The rear panal is likely fake, but the fender looks really chunky.. chunky enough to be hinding something, in my...
Regarding this info.... better late than never, i guess:dunno:
Even considering the 2019 date, I would take this any day of the week over the 335hp rumors
Not to dampen the mood or anything, but they are still just going to show a concept car after all this time? So when will we see like... the actual production car?:rolleyes1:
So when the Supra comes to Tokyo in October... will it be a production car.. or another "concept preview"?:confused1...
When I buy mine, I don't mind Toyota's 8 speed Auto (I liked it when I drove the RC-F), but then again.. my opinion probably represents 2% of our registered members here:spaz:
:cloud:
But this car must have a manual option.
Since I am cross shopping this car with the Lexus RC-F and GS-F, I hope it is between $60-$80k, tops. The cheaper it is, the better. But I am not too optimistic that it will be "cheap":(
After all of those rumors and that product code topic, I just hope this car (or at least its top of the line...
Agreed with everything that you stated. Excellent post.
But don't you think Toyota has taken those risks that you mentioned with Lexus? I feel like a lot of their R&D for none hrlybrid and hydrogen passenger vehicles have actually been geared towards "sporty" cars, but only under the Lexus...
I think the closest thing Toyota will make to those specs that you listed has already been confirmed by some dealerships. It will be called the Lexus LC-F, and it will be ~$100k more than your listed price:confused:
I feel what you are saying though:( I wish it were the case as well.
If they...
