Hmmm .... Will take a closer look at mine, but it seems fine. Installer used Xpel PPF, and he commented on how difficult it was to get the front bumper done right. Car was one month old when I had the PPF installed on 10/11/20 and it is a 7/20 build. Not sure if this correlates with...
I have been happy with the reliability of my 2003 MINI JCW. 136K with nothing major (other than items that simply wear out) having gone wrong. So, sometimes BMW gets it right. I am happy within the Supra so far. Every day is an adventure in learning as I discover something else about the car.
Not sure how it works, but my research indicated that this auto recognition feature is related to the QR code on the side of the tire (both sides, so its not just inner). I’ll have to check the pilot sports since they are off for the cold weather and see what is on there. Just another example...
Call Rachel and see what they have coming in. I test drove a white one, but they had a red one in the pipeline arriving like 5 weeks later. They like to sell them before they even hit the showroom so they don’t have to spend money to floor plan the cars.
Some people received 2, that’s how I was able to buy one. Now YOTA is offering them retail for sale for $250. The books were slow to arrive for some, so maybe call the dealer.
Goodyear Eagle AS mounted on an extra set of OEM wheels w Toyota/BMW TPMS will set you back about $3,100. If a lot of snow (duh! It’s NH) go with Blizzaks dedicated snows

It all goes back to the Bronco II rollover problems when there was a catastrophic tire failure 20+ years ago. That’s when tire safety became a big deal.
I don't know. They are Goodyear Eagle Exhilarations (new name for the old F1’s). If the QR code is on the interior sidewall I won’t be able to see it now. I will call Goodyear and ask. thanks
UPDATE: went back thru the menu, selected manual because the Goodyears do not have the QR code on the...
I just switched to AS tires for the winter and I am now getting the tires not recognized message. I will play with It on manual and see if it can be reset to automatic once it recognizes the tires.
Picked up a set of OE gloss black rims, TPMS and had them plus a set of Goodyear Eagle A/S installed today. None too soon as the white stuff is starting to fall. All black rims certainly changes the look of the car from the chrome & black forged.
