I spent yesterday at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park with SCDA. Beautiful weather in the low 80s, sunny, light wind...a perfect summer day.
I managed to shave about 2 seconds from my previous PB yesterday. I'm really getting into the groove at this track with my car. It's definitely my...
Okay.... I'm seriously considering doing 2 days at Watkins Glen with SCDA at the end of August. I had lunch with 3 instructors and they were really selling it to me.
My wife is interested in going so she can have a mini-vacation too.
It would dig into funds for coilovers a little because I...
An improperly secured load cost me my 2018 V60 Polestar, Freya. That was a really shitty day.
Glad to see someone else's mistake didn't cost you your whole car and 2 days in the ER.
Connecticut rain, but yeah lol.
My Ancestry DNA tells me I'm more likely to take risks than 90% of the population. Probably all of that Viking blood.
Certainly explains my time in the Airborne.
I've honestly been driving around on this set of Kuhmo V730s all summer. They're so inexpensive I figured why not. Yeah, it's wearing them out a little faster, but they're still great on track. I've driven them on damp, wet, soaked, and flooded roads... and in a down pour on track.
The only...
I really like the Project Mu Club Racer pads with Castrol SRF. Great street maners, quiet, still have plenty of bite while cold, and are brilliant on track. They are also very reasonably priced...
I bought these at the beginning of the season and love them. They weren't too expensive, and luckily they fit like a glove. I wear them all day during track days and they feel like slippers.
I do wear "hard/dress shoes" all day everyday for my job so my view may be skewed from someone that...
I'd love to watch it, but I avoid TikTok like the plague. ?
Honestly, you probably should be tightening the nut behind the wheel before you start modifying the suspension. The brakes are a different story though as the stock pads and fluid are OK for the track, but they're easily overwhelmed...
Turns out that 265f 295r is the largest tires you can run on a 987.1 Cayman without a wide body so I'm very familiar with the tire selection.
The 265 is a really tough size. 275 would have far better tire selection and will easily fit up front on our cars. Just something to consider.
